I too prefer the hardcopy over the computer version of US News magazine. I use both a desktop and laptop computer, but I don’t carry them around with me constantly. In a fast paced lifestyle, a hardcopy magazine is easier and much more practical. I read US News when I have time and some of those times are spent in the bathroom, waiting to meet clients and waiting in my parked car. Call me old fashioned but, for now, I find a hardcopy much more practical and useful.
Changes
First aweekly magazine, then a bi-weekly,now a monthly. What,s next? a quarterly and/or an annual?. In December I renewed my subscription and now I regret it. I prefer reading the news from a printed document in hand and not on line.
Good Stuff!
Dear Mr. Kelly,
I am 54, raised in LA county in the 60s, educated, always been self employed and employ others.
Personally, I want to thank you for your effort. In fact, I think I WILL go down and get a copy at your local B&N bookstore and subscribe just because you made an effort to shed some "positive" light on things. A welcome change.
We all know the dog or man biting the other seems to permeate our news these days. Thank you and your team for at least making an effort to help the common or uncommon person pull themselves up by their bootstraps and look ahead. I wonder how many of your comment-ors have ever employed a hundred people that are about to lose everything. Sometimes, as you put it, even a dog biting man story has an inkling of good news to it.
Oh, just an fyi, I am in love with my beautiful wife of 30 years so we can check that one off for now, LoL!
Thanks,
Tom
your changes to the magazine muet be to destroy it
your changes to the magazine have completly destroyed what it was. you should have at least changed the name because it now has no NEWS!! if i wanted consumer report or health and wellness i would subscribe to them. even if the information wasn't breaking news it was an excelent review of what was happening in the world. there are still a lot of people that don't want to spend more time sitting in front of a computer to review what's going on in the world.i'm not cancalling my subscription because i'm hopful that you will figure out your experiment isn't working or your replacement will. i certainly won't renew unless it go's back to being a NEWS magazine.
Maybe you have missed one
It is amazing that in the 50 ways to improve your life, you haven't mentioned, "falling in love", as one of them!
your magazine
My parents subscribed to your magazine when I was growing up. I read it voraciously and learned how hopelessly screwed up the US was by greedy people.
Thus, I'm familiar with you even though my adolescent is 30 years years past.
However these days you come across as outmoded & hopelessly status quo.
So republician..even Dick Cheney-ish.
I would never spent money to read your mag,
even my web visits are more fly by than anything else.
You're so GM.
