New Thoughts on Assessing University Performance

I have attended a private liberal arts college, two universities, and a community college. By far and away, the universities were the least student friendly, the least adept at providing qualified teachers, and had the lowest rankings on standardized licensing exams.

Why bother funding these monoliths that fundementally fail to to what they purport, teach students. Based on my experience, they are a waste of time and considerable money for students and taxpayers. Businesses that benefit from large pools of cheap labor and free access to research are the beneficiaries. It is time to rethink the university systems of this country.
