McCain's Speech Shows He's a Pro-growth Populist, Like Reagan

Not Reaganlike at all

I didn't hear it, but the speech reads in large parts like Carter's "malaise" speech. Just substitute the credit crisis in for the energy crisis of the 70s. Reagan said that the nine most terrifying words in the English language were "I'm from the government and I'm here to help". McCain sees a government regulatory regime or program to solve every problem.

The McCain Huckabee alliance

Here is yet another example the McCain Huckabee alliance is beginning to bloom. This alliance started back in December of 2007 when McCain and Huckabee worked together to force Romney out of the picture.

With McCain's military experience, he holds Honor and Integrity at the top of criteria list of choosing his VP running mate. Only McCain and Huckabee kept to the Honor and Integrity system.

Watch both men starting to work closer together in the next few months. With Obama's lapse in his recent stuck up comments, McCain see's this as the icing on the cake to bring down Obama with his own words. Huckabee courted many followers on Main Street that McCain can use to build his base against Obama's comments.

The McCain / Huckabee alliance is taking shape. The two most honorable men becoming the leaders of the nation.

The winning ticket-McCain and Huckabee

Put Mike Huckabee on the ticket with McCain and McCain can automatically count on the millions of Americans who voted for Huckabee to help the team get elected. Huckabee compliments McCain enormously with his easy-going demeanor; charm; oratorical charm and brilliant common sensibility. Huckabee voters are hard-working people of faith and conviction that will rally behind this ticket and help get the Republicans back in the WHite House again!!! GO HUCK!!

Why not do it now?

The President cannot submit legislation. Senators can. We have three senators running for President with "plans". Why don't any of them prove they are serious and introduce the bills now?

McCain could have this drafted and submitted to committee by the end of the week. Instead we just hear about plans (from all three of them). Lame.

McCain to increase deficits

McCain's plan will do nothing but increase the defict, 285 billion in tax cuts cost per year, and his plans to cut spending are only expected to save 131 billion a year, and that is only if all of the cuts he wants occur, so he will fall short by 155 billion a year at the least, his plans don't add up and will only increase the deficit, because he plans to keep Bush's tax cuts, extend the AMT and continue in Iraq, Bush deficit will be around 400-450 billion, McCain will at the very least push it into 500-600 billion territory.

This is insane, pro-growth, this is pro-collapse

Supply siders and the expanded exemption

Supply siders who don't like the expanded exemption should think twice. Anything that creates or expands the political will to support tax cuts is supply side politics, if not directly supply side economics.

McCain to increase deficits????????

No, I think you are mistaken! If you vote for Obama or Clinton..THAT'S when you'll see a dramatic increase in the deficit because of all the additional "freebies" they'll implement if either get into the White House! They are both for big government spending for health insurance and the like which will only be paid by,....guess who? YOU AND ME! Just think about it.....Let's remove most of those government freebies and begin the process of accountability for one's own actions. Too many Americans feel everyone "owes them" or they are "entitled" and frankly, I'm sick and tired of supporting those who could, if they had the resolve, get themselves a job and become a contributor to our society instead of always taking, taking, taking.

Just Say No to Huckabeen

Does Huckabeen’s new website still have the “”"”truth squad”"”"???? Where he tried to deny all the ethics problems and the dog torture and his part in releasing a violent rapist who then raped and killed a woman? Only fools can’t see that Huckabeen is one of the BIGGEST charlatan snake oil salesmen in the land! Give it up already. McCain is way too wise to choose Huckabeen as his VP. And McCain is an animal lover–too bad about that barbaric dog torture in Huckabeen’s skeleton closet….
