Jimatmadison of WI, Right Wing Talk and Left Wing Talk are not part of the MSM. Right Wing Talk and Left Wing Talk admit going in they are biased and for entertainment. MSM's job is to REPORT THE NEWS!! MSM does not admit it is biased, in fact they insist they are not biased. They cloak their bias in reporting the news with a leftward slant. Owners of MSM do no reporting and do not force their employees on how to report the news. That thought is somewhat thoughtless on your part. This issue is not even open for debate, as all studies have proved my point. As Rick said on a previous point it is obvious you Lefties do very little reading.

Right Wing Talk has defeated Left Wing Talk in open competition and now the Leftists want to force people to listen to Left Wing Talk or remove talk radio from the air. Do you support this infringement of free speech?

As far as Holloywood is concerned, John of AL did not state ALL entertainers are Democrats. This is another issue not open for debate, as it is know to most all who pay attention the vast majority of those out there in lala land are Lefties.

I really recommend you study issues before commenting in the future.

It was Barone who said that Republicans 'are disposed to accept party discipline', not me. In other words, according to Barone, you are sheep. I admit I added the word 'dimwitted', but I've never met a smart sheep.

You do make a lot of assumptions. I do not 'eagerly consume the propaganda from the MSM and Hollywood without question.' First off, most of the MSM (which is rightwing talk for mainstream media) is owned by corporate entities that do not address any of the issues of the average American. It tends to be vapid, shallow, and personality-oriented.

And Hollywood? If if wasn't for you righties yapping about it all the time, I wouldn't know who Barbra Streisand voted for because I don't care. It is you Republicans that worship celebrity. The Terminator, Bonzo's daddy, Cher's ex-husband and sleepy old Fred Thompson were all Republicans. We are entertained by celebrities. You exalt them to high political office.

As far as never being 'offered a job by a poor person', well, that's generally true. But a lot of people have been offered a job by this particular 'smart, highly driven, educated', LIBERAL. well-to-do business manager. Rich people tend to be Republican for the same reason that black people tend to be Democratic. You go with the folks that will look out for your interests.

I didn't think Barone's commentary deserved any more of a 'well thought out response' than I originally gave it because I don't consider an ovine personality to be 'normal'. Being a sheep may be normal in the world of the ditto-heads, but it isn't out here among regular folk.

Regarding your comment about 'Dems not being heavy readers,' jimatmadison of WI was all to eager to prove your point in his 'well thought out' response right above yours in this thread. He also proved my point--in that his response was based upon pure, unbridled emotion, with no attempt to back up any assertion with any form of factual evidence, which, unfortunately is the typical response from those on the LEFT.

The irony (and sad truth) is that approximately 50% of the country think just like him--that Repubilicans/Conservatives are the 'dimwitted sheep.' Yet, they are the ones who eagerly consume the propaganda spewing from the MSM and Hollywood without question, accepting it as concrete fact, while never making the slightest attempt to verify what they hear or to think on their own.

For those of you on the LEFT who are reading this (if you have made it this far), have you ever noticed or stopped to wonder why the vast majority of business owners and professionals (not college professors) are conservatives? Have you ever put away your jealousy and resentment for a moment and wondered why the majority of people who are wealthy (excluding Hollywood) are conservatives? No, there is no vast, right-wing conspiracy to exploit the working class! The answer is: because they are smart, highly driven, educated people who think for themselves and don't expect the government to provide for them. For those of you who truly resent these people, I have one question for you....Have your ever been offered a job by a poor person??? For those of you who think they are 'dimwitted sheep,' then....well, nevermind....there is no point in trying to explain any further.

However, I do have one last rhetorical thought...When Obama (your messiah) finishes confiscating (or destroying) all the wealth in this nation, where is the money going to come from then??? When you destroy all incentive for achieving personal financial gain, this country will quickly fade into third-world, socialized oblivion. Example: When we socialize medicine, don't be surprised when the best and the brightest among us no longer think 8-12 years of medical school is no longer worth it. Do you want anyone who is not the 'best and the brightest' among us to cut you open.....didn't think so. I know you folks on the left of not well read, but I strongly suggest you read up on the TRUTH and FACTS of the wonderful socialized medicine in Canada, UK, & France. Stories like...your mother or father gets cancer and you are told by 'the establishment' that they are not even going to attempt to save them (due to cost) because they have already lived long enough. Stories like....being on a waiting list for several years for any procedure that is not 'life-threatening.' Yeah, that's the kind of health care I want for my family. I'm rambling.

I would like to add onto #2 of John of AL. The prime mover of the present credit crises is the government sponsored entity FannieMae. In 1999 Democrat, and present Obama advisor, Franklin Raines began a program to make it easier for low and moderate income people to buy homes. He also eased the credit score requirements for mortgages purchased from Banks by FannieMae. Franklin Raines received a $90,000,000 golden handshake from FannieMae and of course this is unreported by the MSM. The Bush Administration attempted to strenghten regulations on FannieMae and was obstructed by Democrat Barney Frank and Democrat Chris Dodd. An honest competent Media would be all over this, however it has been clearly demonstrated the MSM is not honest or competent and is controlled by the Left. The MSM has totally failed this country by forgetting their primary role of reporting the news in an honest, competent and unbiased way. For not doing their job the MSM deserves a good financial thrashing.

The vast majority of Democrats are not heavy readers, if at all. They believe what they see in the movies, and from rubbish by the Michael Moore types and waco's out in Hollywood's fantasy land. It's plainly visible for all to see by the blog comments they make.

Where to even start.....First of all, the subject line is a broad generality, which like all general statements have exceptions. With that said, Barone is 'dead-on' with his article.

For you Dems who read this, you need to stop drinking the Kool-Aid, quit letting your emotions dominate your every thought, and do your homework before you simply 'parrot' the propaganda that you have so gullibly consumed. Let's take a looks at some FACTS (some of you may need to look up the meaning of that word).

1.) Regarding the war: Every major intelligence agency on the planet said that Iraq had weapons-of-mass-destruction. Saddam was given a 90 day warning before we invaded--more than ample time to dispose of them. Furthermore, if there was a shred of evidence that Bush "LIED", his head would be on a pole now. Incidentally, have any of you Dems noticed that we are the only major country that has not had ANY furhter terrorist attacks--didn't think so.

2.) Regarding the current state of the economy: In 1998 Barney Frank and Chris Dodd led the push to eliminate the 20% minimum downpayment requirement for home mortgages. CLINTON SIGNED IT. This minimum requirement existed for the very reason to prevent a crisis like this from happening. It was done because the minorities were screaming discrimination, as most of them could not meet that minumum requirement. Starting in 1991 the Bush Administration warned of the impending crisis multiple times. He tried to re-institute the minimum 20% requirement and were met with HARSH opposition from the LEFT--being branded as racist. Ironically, the same two morons that laid the groundwork for this crisis are now in the forefront trying to fix it. The LEFT has done a masterful job of blaming it all on the Bush Administration.

3.) Regarding the Constitution: The Patriot Act only gave 'evesdropping' power to listen to calls made by people suspected of having ties to terrorist and only to coutries that were known for harboring terrorism. Also, regarding Gitmo...You all need to go read the GENEVA CONVENTION and learn how the world has agreed to handle Enemy Combatants taken as Prisoners of War--you might learn something. No domestic or international laws were broken!

4.) Also regarding the Constitution: It is NOT a living document that to be interpreted by the changing times--only by Ammendment! (I would bet that the majority of those on the left have no earthly idea how the ammendment process works) The Obama administration has already shown more disdain and flagrant disregard for the Constitution than all previous Administrations COMBINED. Can you say HYPOCRACY? Might need to look that one up too. While you are at it, you might want to look up the definition of SOCIALISM--which is where we are heading.

Some schools still offer such courses as American History and American Government. Most of you on the left must have either cut those classes or were high while absently sitting in class.

Let me state your point more succinctly

Republicans are conformists. Democrats are not. Not exactly a novel formulation, but certainly reductionist.
