Racism and Detroit
Black people wish to get revenge. I am Black and I live in Detroit. Trust me, many of the older people still think in the same way as 1965. And the Socialist Democrat party has done well turning hard working Blacks who sought out civil rights into lazy race complaining and baiting government drones who vote Democrats whenever they are told.

Since when does doing what’s right is made fun of .How about all the people who died & are still dying for all our human rights. I guess its all right to say go home, you’re not like us. I tell all of you readers that this is MODERN racism. I think that some would say its pay back for a life & Time that we didn’t live but still have to pay for they’re sins . Does that mean if someone breaks the law that I don’t know but if they’re my color I have to pay for they’re crime. Enough, its time we all come together as one family, one voice one Nation. If we don’t then all our children will pay for our ignorance.

Where is the media on the Detroit Story. In just the past few weeks, they ahve called the state legislature racists, thrown white conspiracy theories around in televised meetings, and tossed out white witnesses.
We are all equal in this country and the entire nation should be outraged at Detroit City Council.
We are not responsible for the sins of our fathers and we all ought to judge people by the content of their character. For those who have suffered from racism as a people to subjugate others to it is only fueling the cycle.
WHEN WILL THE MEDIA PRACTICE WHAT THEY PREACH AND FULLY EXPOSE THIS CITY COUNCIL ON THE EVENING NEWS AND 60 MINUTES. THE FACT THAT THE PRESIDENT OF THE COUNCIL HAS A HUSBAND IN THE US CONGRESS ONLY ADDS FURTHER SHAME TO THE SITUATION AND THE MEDIA HAS BECOME AN ACCESSORY THROUGH INACTION.

Read "Devil's Night" And Other True Tales of Detroit by Ze'ev Chafets. (out of print, but worth the hunt). Read "Made in Detroit" by Paul Clemens. Being white in Detroit in 2009 is like being black in Mississippi in 1929. White-run newspapers and magazines pretend black racism doesn't exist because: 1) they're afraid of being labeled racist themselves and 2) admitting blacks are capable of being filthy racist ignorant pigs goes against the "all black people are victims" orthodoxy of the past forty years. Mustn't let reality get in the way of the worst kind of po-faced mush-brained self-congratulatory liberalism, the kind that aids and abets the sort of racism espoused by Conyers' spouse.

Unfortunately this is pretty common behavior in many Black controlled city governments, especially in poor cities like Detroit.
I remember the plan that had come to light several years ago in Newark by which the city was intending to purge their main commercial district of white and asian owned businesses. This project was kaiboshed once it was revealed.
The response to the controversy was striking. A lot of Blacks didn't seem to appreciate that their majority in local government didn't give them the right or authority to implement a racial purge. That it wasn't actually 'their city' in the sense that they could ignore the rights of non-black residents.
I'm afraid that the approach we've taken over the past 40+ years to race relations, which has fostered the expression of racial grievances by minorities on the basis of various therapeutic motives, has had the affect of amplifying and institutionalizing these grievances. It has had the affect of promoting bigotry as evidence of racial solidarity.
Calling someone a bigot only works if you are black

Haven't you noticed how many times whites are discriminated against and the liberals and the liberal main stream media just brushes it off?
Why, only a BLACK person can get offended! only a BLACK person can scream "discrimination"!
At least, those seem to be the rules liberals are playing by these days.
From my perspective, if you are white you have no rights anymore.
This is not the America I grew up in.
