Obama’s Win Is Not Necessarily the Beginning of a Political Realignment

What's interesting to me is that eventhough the people have spoken and McCain has handled defeat in a most gracious way, we still have these nay sayers, those who,(even at the cost of dividing more and already train wrecked country as great as the US of A)continue to spread this infectious sense of diatribe--those that would continue to wish that it would rain on what undoubtedly is a parade of triumph and newness in attitude, in unity, and in the oneness that the people obviously desire. My question is one that I think should clear up any ambiguity as to whether you love America or whether you love to spread cynicism and hatred that would destroy America. Do you want us to succeed as a country of love and harmony (being able to disagree without being disagreeable), or do you want to continue this conspiracy of divisiveness and risk relinquishing our world power and world leadership to another nation? In a word, stop the madness!

This is a stupid fest

Ecomonies are not some natural organism, they are constructed and managed by people. Read Wealth of Nations you stupid people.

who knows?

No one can predict the future. Everyone will try, and many guesses will be made. Some, purely at random, will come closer to the mark. More likely, events will take a turn no one could have predicted. Furthermore: those who are "sitting shiva for America" are basically America-haters. Yes, I'll turn that term around on the people who threw it around for the last eight years. Remember when you all shouted "respect our President?" Well, respect him now, you hypocrites.

obamma will be the best presedent ever

trust me, ma,rk these words. barick obama will go dawn in history as the bst presedent EVER

voter lament

Once again Barone, you outdo yourself with your profound comments. It is really sad that you are already singing the demise of the democratic party before Obama even takes office. You know Barone, your probably right, the Mcain/ Palin ticket would have been a better choice. God help us all!!!!!!!!!

Barone

When will the stupidity of such as Mr Barone end? He's been wrong throughout the campaign season, and now is apparently set on justifying his mistakes with ridiculous hand-picked stats. If he had cited the same sources during the campaign, they would not have supported his positions.

Stats can be found to justify virtually any assertion. Mr Barone's talent (if one can correctly ascribe it as a talent) is in finding stats that support his pre-conceived positions. I prefer commentary founded and developed from good statistics rather than founded on idealogy and then supported by what can be found.

Can anyone credibly conclude that Mr Barone "found" those stats and then developed his positions? Far more likely that he did the opposite and went looking for anything from anywhere he could cite. "Liars figure and figures lie" is a time-tested trusim exemplified by Barone for the past several years - unfortunately for him, and his readers, he's more often wrong than right.

He did, after all, late in the season, against all other pundits predict a McCain victory. Wrong again Barone.

Political Realignment

I always have to laugh when I see someone claim that President elect Obama has no experience! A Senator has much more experience in the concepts of federal government than a governor. Even a governor like GW Bush. And the labeling of "socialists" is just plain fraudulent. No one wants to change American from what it is...a capitialist based society. Well, except for Republicans maybe. They seem to have a penchant for returning to owners and serfs.

re: money

He spent the most because he raised the most. And the majority of that money was straight from the people.

money

didn,t his campain spend the most money maybe that,s why he won

Political Realignment

Obama only won because he wasn't somehow connected to Bush, and the GOP foolishly threw 'Sarah Barby' in at the last minute. He has NO real experience, and is relying on his staff to carry the day. But what new faces are these, the Clintons? Please, Billary is alive and well, and will have him for lunch! I'm 'sitting shiva for America', as this country will decline even more with these Socialists in control. Now the GOP has a chance to clean house and try to clean out their stables. Let's hope that they can do it.
