Toast

Toast is good to eat. Also i think that mccain didn't really have a chance with the whole of the black population on obamas side

Winds of Change

The winds of change are blowing. The smell of a democratic win is in the air. I read the views of Republican supporters but what they don't understand is that the majority of the world do not want to see another Bush wanna be in the office. The American people are great but the politics need fixing. A democratic win can only help the relations internationally

Too little to late

Obama is an osmosis candidate, nothing there, nothing done, but in the right place at the right time, and like melting jello, is pouring through the cracks of a wall of circumstance to a victory pudle of meaningless muck. You have to give him credit though, he put himself in the running and has had the luck of the almighty behind him.

Mccaine could have eaten him alive. Running for president is a test of character, and frankly, he has fallen short in his message and effort. But give him credit, he is older, and has less energy. The effort he gave would have killed others his age. Maybe it was all he could give to the effort.

I wish I could say we learned being lucky is better than being good. But in this case there is only lucky as Mccaine's effort was not good.

Obama_Taught Constitutional Law

To Arlene above:

It is ridiculous for you to say Obama doesn't believe in the Constitution. Do you even live in this county? Obama has a Constitutional Law Degree from Harvard and taught Constitutional Law. Let's have a little quality control with these comments. As courageous as McCain was in the distant past, McCain has currently picked a VP running mate who can't even name a single major newspaper on an interview.

If this were Hollywood

Obama would make a great president in a Hollywood movie, charismatic and charming. But really, what has he done. Are we that taken in by the "American Idol" perception of life. Do outside appearances really mean so much to us that we can overlook shortcomings like bad judgment in ones affiliations. McCain is a moderate Republican. He will do what's right for the country he fought for. If you don't give him the job, be prepared to hand over your future to a government that will regulate every aspect of our free enterprise system. Reinstate welfare without question as to who is qualified to receive it. Erode away at the fundamentals that made us a great country. Free enterprise not spread the wealth. My son's teacher made a great analogy to spread the wealth. If you worked and studied hard for an A would you be willing to give it to a student who got a C because he didn't study. Come on!

ohgoodgrief

Can all the polls be wrong? Maybe if you think people deliberately mislead polsters and polsters deliberately mislead the media. Perhaps it's a conspiracy run amuck

GO NAVY!

Amen Arlene ,I trust McCain with my Country , the Constitution & my life. What kept him going ,what kept strong during his darkest hours is the faith & the love in his Creator & his beloved United States. He has even suffered treachery by members of his own party ,yet he persevered. He is tough. He is fair and most of all he can lead.Let's give him our support this Tuesday.

Arlene

God Bless you. Your commment was absolutely "right" God Bless America VOTE JOHN MCCAIN& SARAH PALIN............

Won't Work This Time

John McCain would need a fresh tactic and longer than 2 days to turn it around. The same old right winger's rah rah patriotism and America First, war hero rhetoric is wearing too thin with Americans who can see what that rhetoric is attempting to mask.

The agenda of the Republican Party is to promote the continued financial dominance of the wealthiest power players, not just in America but around the globe. Their advocacy of so called "free trade" sells average Americans down the river, while they distract them with manufactured issues about religion, morality and patriotism.

We are finally getting the picture! To be patriotic means to want a braver, more inclusive and thoughtful nation, ready to lead but not to bully the rest of the world. To be moral means to consider the consequences to the majority of our citizens when economic policies are formed.

For too long Republicans have claimed to be the "national security" party, while they have overextended and abused our military troops. They push an oppressively "Christian" agenda, while casting vile aspersions on those who do not toe the party line.

It's time to give it a rest. We may not have wealth for years to come, but maybe we can have hope and peace. That's a pretty potent form of prosperity.

Obama's ASSOCIATIONS...

OBAMA didn’t know his aunt is in U.S. illegally??? Give us a BREAK! Just ONE MORE "association" Obama didn't know anything about... A protest sign seen at a rally outside the LA TIMES demanding the Rashid Khalidi tape be released: I ESCAPED SOCIALIST TOTALITARIAN IRAN UNDER RADICAL ISLAM - ASK ME WHY I HATE OBAMA. The woman holding the sign emigrated from Iran after Jimmy Carter's reign. MEDIA BIAS = VOTER SUPRESSION. Release the TAPE!!! Let the PEOPLE judge about THIS association. And before you VOTE see www.actforamerica.org & see VOTER GUIDE. Ignorance will not be bliss.
