If the lefties will stop handing them the "American Dream" they would not be here to begin with... The American Dream is for Americans..... Look up the crime rate that illegals have here and how much money it takes to support all of these law breakers..

HUD released statistics that they backed 5 million mortages to people with no social security numbers. Now we know that those that don't have social security numbers are immigrants, many of them illegal. There were 5 foreclosures on my street in PW County VA. All 5 of the owners were Hispanic. It did not take us long to realize how they purchased these homes. All 5 had renters in the basement. Not one of the Hispanic Families lives as a family. It is always multiple familes or single males renting out the basement. Sorry folks, they make terrible neighbors. It's one thing to own a home, its another to maintain it.

Illegals should never have been given mortgages in the first place. WAMU gave out an 875,000 mortage to a mexican that made $10 an hour, and guess who gets to pick up the tab

Mortgages for ALL! Isn't It a Free Country?
My local credit union (Inland Empire CA)allowed illegal aliens to open bank accounts and get mortgages with Matricular Councilar Cards. Now hundreds of homes are in foreclosure and WE US Citizens have to pay for it. I want the FEDS to tell US Citizens just what proportion of the $7 Billion bailout was due to mortgages given to illegal aliens. I bet the proportion is astounding.

Yes, but has Michael Barone been convinced? David Brooks certainly hasn't; nor Paul Gigot nor Bill Kristol nor any of the other "conservative" mass immigration advocates.
To assume that tens of millions of people who are fundamentally and culturally different from the base population can move into a country without fundamentally changing that country is simply crazy. There is ZERO scientific evidence for the idea, for example, that Latinos will achieve academic, and thus economic, parity with white Americans. Is that racist? Maybe. Is it realist? Yes.
There is zero evidence that such people, poorer on average, when they have the political power in their hands won't use that power to reallocate wealth from the natives to themselves. None. Is that racist? Maybe. Is it realist? Yes.
There is ample evidence that any mass immigration of any kind, from anywhere, will drive up demand for land, place demands on infrastructure and thus increase government costs, driving up prices for the native born, all while lowering wages for workers. Is that racist? Not at all. Is it realist? Yes.

At least people are waking up to reality
Giving easy loans to people based only on their skin color was a recipe for disaster, and now the disaster is here. And you have all these "Latino" activists pushing for this and that for "their" people -- based only on skin color and ethno-tribal affiliation.
You have to ask yourself, if whites are supposedly the "xenophobes" then what is it with "Latinos" who are so eager to transform American society in their favor? What are they "scared" about that they feel they have to completely take over? They are either "scared" of white people and America's current culture and figure they have to crowd whites out or else bad things will happen, or quite simply they don't like white people. If Mexicans, for example, gave two hoots about white people they at least go out of their way to find a middle ground. But it's all "take take take, and give give give" with them. And there is going to be severe backlash. There always is.
And stop with calling yourselves "Latino". You have zero affiliation with Latin and Rome, Italy. So quit offending people who are actually from there, myself included.
