1st Our current economic crisis was started in 1999 with the Clinton administration and the fact that they opened up the gates for F. Mac & May to give loans to folk that cannot afford them.
2nd You are correct, this is "ridiculous". Obama cannot be trusted.

- How did the Clinton machine, with all of their power and money, NOT win the dem. nomination? The Clintons got away with a ton of stuff. What does Obama have over the Clinton machine?

Let's hear directly from Ayers
Considering all the interest and attention that William Ayers has garnered recently, why have we not heard from him directly regarding his relationship with Obama? Why hasn't 60 Minutes, Katie Couric, Charlie Gibson, or Brian Williams asked for an exclusive interview with this guy to determine how well he knows Barack Obama and was Obama aware of his past terrorist activities while they worked together on education reform in Chicago? Ayers has not previously been shy in granting interviews, let's hear what he has to say.

The worst part to me is that when he worked for the CAC, Obama gave funds to radical left-wing educational organizations. I think this says a lot about what he would do as President with education and his mandatory service for college students.

I am still waiting for right wing propagandists (like Barone) to detail evidence that Obama supported Ayers' radical behavior. They served on a couple of charitable boards together. Were members of the boards required to pledge alliance to (and accept responsibility for) the most radical member's past? It's becoming commonplace now for right-wing propagandists to insist that the two were best friends, hang out together (or "palled around together"), but none of these people can give evidence that Obama and Ayers spent any time together in recent years. They certainly haven't proven that they hung out together, or that they're best friends.
This shows how desperate republicans are. Back in the Clinton impeachment days, they ranted and raved about accepting responsibility for your own words and actions. Now they are expecting Obama to accept responsibility for the words and actions of William Ayers (and Jeremiah Wright). Never mind that Obama wasn't part of the weather underground, and has condemned their acts of terrorism. You people are so desperate that you're still trying to play this "guilt by association" game. That game works for fourth-graders in a playground spat, but it doesn't resonate with thinking adults (in something as important as a presidential election). You republicans (yes, that includes Barone) really are blinding yourselves to the absurdity of your desperation.
Obama and his associations
Obama's long list of associates who are left of left should give everyone pause. Add to that his Obama Training Camps which you'll find touted on his web site (that absolutely smacks of Nazi Youth Camps), and he becomes much more than just liberal. I find him to be the most manipulative individual we've ever had on our political scene. Add him to a democratic-controlled Congress which has already done untold damage to our economy, and we could be going into a period which would fundamentally change our institutions. I'm not ready to annoint a king, nor a Mussolini.
Should the mainstream media pay attention to McCain's Ties with G. Gordon Liddy?
G. Gordon Liddy, the convicted felon who masterminded the Watergate burglaries and plotted kidnappings and firebombings for the Nixon administration, calls McCain and "old friend". McCain has accepted $5000 from Liddy, including $1000 earlier this year, and appeared on Liddy's radio show saying how proud he was of Liddy.
Why shouldn't the mainstream media pay attention to McCain's ties with Liddy?
The Fact is OBAMA has had a relationship to a domestic Terrorist!!!!
It doesnt matter how old Obama was when Ayers did the bombing!! What matters is Ayers is a known Domestic Terrorist and it didnt prevent Obama from working with this terrorist. I think thats bad judgement or worse, maybe Obama just didnt care since he has been known to have Muslin teachings and views in his life at some point. Ayers tried to kill Americans with bombings and the Keating five was about corrupt financial leaders and McCain was shown to not have any part in the corruption.
Not 8 years old...
...when Obama worked with and met with Ayers. Not 8 years old for his 20 years of tutelage under Wright. Note the care of stating Obama has not "...met with Ayers since 2005...". He had to distance himself from the radicals he grew up with to run for national office.
If you believe Obama's views were not shaped by his long association with mentors who hate America, then I have some financial stocks to sell you.
Obama/Ayers Connection More than CAC
Obama's praise of William Ayers and Bernadine Dohrn and their ideas about criminal justice, for example, I believe, have in fact affected his legislative career that has bolstered the Ayers 60's radical agenda.
Stanley Kurtz again has done some excellent work uncovering Obama's lost years that explains the ideologoical connection to not just William Ayers & Bernadine Dohrn, but also shows how Reverend Wright/Father Pfleger has affected Obama's political record and perspective. All of these people are very divisive radicals that I think will have an affect on an Obama's Presidency. The associations are too long and deep to dismiss as "old news".
