This is the real democrat party, the supporters of Obama. No respect for a teenager who made a mistake. (Obama was snorting drugs at her age.) No respect for her privacy. No respect for a strong working class mother. And no civility. I know Palin was the right choice because I've never seen democrats and the media so panicked before.

Small towns in the Dakotas are usually conservative

To show you how out of touch the media is, for a fact of growing up in a small town in North Dakota, the small towns always lean conservative, rarely liberal. Democrats usually are voted in for Congress and Senate on the Federal level, but that is for the pork and the long time that the 3 of them have been in office now. It has been the same 3 names for 15 to 20 years. They bring home the pork... ie- check out the federal money North Dakota gets for the roads and highways. Obama attracts the Red River crowd (ND/Minnesota border) where the urban population is, and where the both the major universities are, but west of there.. it is mostly die-hard conservatives. I live in Seattle now (surrounded by libs), but my folks and relatives still live in the dakotas. I travel to eastern Washington, in small towns there, it is the same thing- small town- church going conservatives. Do not always believe the media, for they are to scared to know the truth!!

still standing for the American flag...

I totally agree. I think people need to leave Sarah Palin's family alone. Most of YOUR kids are out doing the same thing. Sarah Palin absolutely amazed me Friday... I believe that this is the best thing that could ever happen to America...

John McCain was a Prisoner of War for 5 years. He was tortured for OUR freedom. What has Barack Obama done??? He cannot even answer questions directly. "That's above my pay grade?" WHAT IS WRONG WITH THE AMERICAN PEOPLE? I thank God for people like John McCain, and I have a LOT more respect for him & Sarah than I do Obama.

It's time for people in America to wake up.

Lord Jesus help us if Obama wins!!!!

Palin Qualified-Yes!

If one can't stick to the national issues with who can best represent our nation verses having to smear the candidates children...then that really shows how low that party can go, and how upset that Obama's supporters wouldn't select Hillary as his running mate. I did some research on my own also. Mr. Barach Hussein Obama is half Muslim and if just one Islamic assoc. that I located and pulled up all the names associated with it's members last names gave $182,000.00 towards Obama's election....What do you think the other 7,000,000 Muslims in the USA have given? He has already been tied to and associated with known terrorist affiliates plus others...not to mention his minister for the past 20 years. I'll vote any day for a veteran who knows about "giving to his country" and a woman who has the guts and qualities to be his VP and withstand the attacks from all the liberals..........Go Gov. Palin..

Unprotected Sex

The Whole World is WATCHING as Sarah will condon teen age pregnancy, unprotected sex and teen parents. What an image to portray. Politics, feminisum, inexperience HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH THIS event. Please, can the crazyness be stopped?

Has Aids become a non issue in the USA or the World?----I don't think so. Kids haveing kids---has that ever been talked about in your part of the country?? Is it a good thing?

How can the potential VP of the UNITED STATES OF AMERICA say its OK for her family but not for the rest of the world? Being Vice Presedent of the United States of America carries a larger image and responsibility tham being a neighborhood Soccer MOM.

The whole WORLD is watching.

Sarah is using her daughter for cover

I have not seen liberals attacking Bristol Palin: Sarah launched the issue and is using it to present herself as a defender of her daughter, attacked by phantom liberals. It is Sarah who makes the argument that her child is standing up to some kind of pressure to have an abortion. From whom?

This story does show why conservative women are afraid of abortion rights. Many are at last saying aloud, for the first time, that they have been in Bristol's predicament.

It isn't reactionary for a woman to feel her pregnancy is sacred. Women don't have the economic, personal, or spiritual power to declare sanctity or protection for ourselves when we are pregnant. We would rather lose the right to terminate a pregnancy than lose the right to carry a baby already in our womb. If we really had to chose, I'd have to say the right to bear children is more fundamental. Women who are in a position of economic and social independence may not understand how vulnerable others are.

Sarah Palin's game is something entirely different, though. Here is a link to the story of little Trig's birth, from KTUU, the same TV station where Sarah worked once as a sportscaster:

What kind of ambition is that? She says she was at an oil conference in Texas (with Cheney's inner circle) and they offered her a chance at the vice presidency. She says her water broke, but she gave her speech anyway, and then flew all night, back to Alaska (8 hours) in premature labor with a Down syndrome baby, and then drove to a distant medical center (2 hours).

The baby was born at 6:30 AM. She claims her doctor approved the flight. People didn't believe her, and neither do I: no physician ever did any such thing, of course. So either she lied or she lied, and either way she looks nuts.

If she really delivered the baby, all she has to do is show people her hospital records and introduce them to the doctor. She doesn't have to hide behind her daughter.

Here’s a detailed description of her ambition from somebody who knows:

Young Man appearing at convention....

The young man Bristol Palin is involved with is now attending the convention...I thought the family wanted privacy at this time...so which is it????? What sane mother would parade two young people on stage who were going through such a sensitive time....this has all got to be a big joke. I am embarrassed how all of this looks to the rest of the world.

She's just Awesome

Wow, lots of comments about Palin's supposed inexperience, but seriously, Obama? I thought he was interesting and not too bad at the beginning of the election, but the more I hear from him and about him, the more scared I become of him becoming President. I also find it difficult to support McCain, so without Palin it would have been a Mickey Mouse election for me. Now, I actually feel comfortable voting for McCain and much more optimistic about the future.

The Pregnancy Defense

Palin rebutted suggestions on some blogs that Palin's baby born last April was actually her daughter's by saying she is pregnant now. What kind of rebuttal is that? Wouldn't a normal person you rebut by providing medical records of the delivery or evidence that your daughter had mono? This person rebuts by saying, she was not pregnant then because she's pregnant now.

Whose idea was it for the daughter to use the son and the world's largest recieving blanket as a prop to hide her pregnancy? The truth is going to come out. The poor daughter has the deer-in-the-headlights look.
