international appraisal

Polls frrom global audiences give 85% to Biden and 15% to Palin. Is this our business ? Absolutely the world suffered set back by Bush presidency. Mr Barone do not insult your readership. She did not win. I assume you do not want to lose what is left of your credibility.

Fascinating look at comments recently

I am more convinced than ever that almost no one who comments on political blogs or forums can be persuaded from his or her positions. These folks seem very hardened on one side or another. Perhaps the ability to select ones news sources to only match one's bias has created multiple realities that prevent people from debating sensibly.

Obamas convention bounce

According to the most generous of polls, Obama's bounce from the convention was a mere 6 points. Newsflash!! That was less than Fritz Mondale's 7 point bounce back in 1984, and we know what a thrashing he took in Nov...HEHE....see you at the polls losers!!!

As Mies van der Rohe said "Less is More"...

It is the right course to take & does make the indulgence we have taken as a given suddenly out of place .Refreshing.

palin

will Palin be gone by the end of the week ? & will Romney be in ? even Karl Robe won't be able to get McCain out of this fiasco .....RE Palin's pregnant 17 yr old unwed dayghter ,,oops ROVE ,,,Sunday 9/1/08,,,,the buzz ....will Barone write about this ?...

irony

Lets not forget that there is no climate change

Political disaster

Gee ... had McCain's political party not disembowled FEMA and other emergency preparedness as part of the new Department of Homeland Security, they might have been able to actually conduct their damn convention this week, political rhetoric and all. The Republicans are in a political pickle, and they have only themselves to blame.

McCain will win no matter what

It remains funny to me that Obama has no substance and you "United Americans" are effectively lining up for disaster. Why again are you voting for Obama? Notice I didn't ask why you don't like Bush. Smart Americans will notice the difference. You can't even get into Obama's website (as of Sept. 1st) without giving your email address, let alone see what he is offering! Something seems fishy here. Oh, that's right, you mindless followers don't mind giving out private personally identifiable information. Please respond back with your credit card number, 3 digit security code, billing address, then vote for Obama. In case you want to find out what one of the presidential nominees is offering without giving up your privacy rights and signing up to join his movement, then here's a good link. http://www.johnmccain.com/Informing/Issues/

and P.S. I should add I drive a hybrid car running on 50% gas 50% E85 and have been doing it for 2 years w/ no issues.

Gustav and McCain

There ratio of first responders to "victims" along the Gulf Coast for Gustav is probably 1 for 1 at this point. The Feds, State and Locals have so flooded the zone with people from all over the country (Federal Contracts are very lucrative and all the folks from out of state, except the Guard, are getting two weeks of overtime minimum, I've got a stepson Paramedic who is paying off his truck loan by hanging out in Texas for this at the moment).

The idea that John McCain, 12 Secret Service guys and a few troopers is going to result in drowning of somebody is a leftie dream.

The more interesting question is how much Federal Dollars are being wasted for media relations reasons?

Someday perhaps we can rationally deal with that.
