I think that this is good

I do not follow the election cause it is the same that it is all year that all of the canidates are lieing just to get into office. Once that they get there they are not going to do what they say that they are going to do anyway.

Obama's Speech

You have highlighted what is so obvious about the Obama Plan. It is all a pack of lies and distortions. He will, in fact, raise taxes enormously on everyone except the very poor, who pay virtually no taxes now. There is no other way to pay for the programs which he and the majority Democratic Congress will pass. And the health care plan will be the biggest, most inefficient system imaginable because it will be run by our bureaucratic government. People need to wake up to this man and his "Change" plan. It will be disastrous.

Because it's a pathetic GOP-sponsored flop that has no traction in a bear market. and I don't think Obama felt compelled to script his speech based on Invesco's buy a stadium's naming rights.

Differences

It is easy to dismiss many poster's opinions except they have the same voting rights as the liberal left. If the liberals think they have all the answers then convince the other side with hard facts and a persuasive appeal. I think each party is more alike than they are different if you ask just basic living questions. I recently read comments Obama made back in 2004 regarding the Iraq war. He came away admitting that the exit plan was pretty much the same from both parties. At that time, both parties were looking for a much more stable government, building up of Iraqi troop levels, and then a continuous reduction of US troops. It was just a matter of timing that was really dependent on the success in that country. So now Obam is calling for US pull-out in so many months. I would say the republicans are saying the same since the situation in Iraq has improved so much the past year. The immigration issue is a good example of both parties choosing to ignore this national crisis. The healthcare issue effects everybody but the answer means increasing taxes for those that pay taxes to pay for those that don't in order to give some sort of base medical care for everybody. Should be give free healthcare to everybody even if they abuse their bodies? So should each citizens be held accountable or otherwise severely penalized for causing healthcare costs to rise? I have a personal note from Hillary written when Bill took office the first time assuring me that they would resolve the crisis. They never did not because they didn't want to or that they didn't try, but because there might not be a very good answer even now.
