Hillary Clinton's Speech Was a Good Start on Her 2012 Run

Open your eyes!

The truth of the matter is that Hillary was the true choice of the majority of Democrats, but those in control of the Party would not allow this to happen. This is why they did not allow the votes of Florida or Michigan to be counted until they had already altered the outcome! What is worse, the Clinton's must be so indebted to the Party that they were forced to act like they now support Obama, when they clearly do not! The entire political system in America is so screwed up! I am disgusted by the entire scene at this point. This may be the very first presidential election in which I will not vote.

You didn't get it did you?

The speech was celebrating a historical landmark for women in politics, it wasn't supposed to prop up Obama. Your first two paragraphs are misleading. You mean to imply that because she talked about women's accomplishments in politics she is still fighting for a start in 2012. That is just not journalism.

Hating Hillary

...seems to be the All-American thing to do. What a shame. What a waste of energy and time. Why must you little Clinton Haters continue to discuss Hillary if you portray her as everything you don't like? Could it be your own fragile egos are at stake? Could it be you are really closet Hillary lovers? Could it be you have no life of your own and want no one else to have a life? Why is it that Hillary Haters United must divide the party? Why is it that no matter how hard she tries, will try, it will never be enough for some? Frankly, I'm tired of your victim mentalities: poor me, I have to hate Hillary. I'm tired of your whining. I'm tired of your complaining. Get off your arses and run for President.... unless you think you can't...and if that's so, you have no room to speak.

Hillary is a great human being, a great woman and a great politician. Hillary is Hillary, and she is no quitter...she IS here to stay.

Next topic.

How about some HONOR for Hillary?

Can you just honor the Clinton's greatness already?

Mr. Barone: - You forgot....

all those bitter, nasty women out there. The type that are on their second or third marriage and don't like this husband any better than the others. The women who work in jobs such as administrative assistants at colleges and medical clinics and banks. They deal not only with male professionals they deplore but female professionals whose education, looks, and youth they have to seethe at in silence. They have reached middle class status but resent it because it's boring to them. They are bitter. They understand Hillary and she understands them. They learned a lesson from Bill Clinton. Many a pundit said these and other women fantasized about being in bed with him. And they soon learned as the faces of the women he messed around with came to light, that they weren't Bill's type - for a vote yes, but nothing more. In terms of everyday life, no one cares what they have to say. Hillary saw this and darn near pulled it off.

Hillary speech

While I agree that positioning for a future election may have played a role in this speech, thinking about the future elections is hardly an attribute that can be confined to Hillary Clinton. I thought she did an excellent job of providing closure for her campaign, while at the same time trying to unify the party. One really wonders if she ever could have said enough to placate those supporters within the Obama campaign that are concerned that he just might not win in November. She ended her campaign, released her delegates, and pushed for his nomination by acclamation. What more can be expected?

Clinton Fatigue and Clinton Disgust

I am a liberal democratic Party member. I live in Buffalo, NY, and voted for EACH Clinton twice. No more.

The Clinton's are liars who wrap themselves in victimhood. The Clinton's are the worst thing that ever happened to my beloved Democratic Party.

For 16 years I defended their lies and "triangulations" but when Hillary kept attacking Obama by distorting his record and praising McCain. Any honest person would conclude that Bill Clinton reaching back two decades to minimize Obama's Carolina win, when he could have made a similar and better point by saying "John Edwards on also just four years ago and he ended up VP...", was a Clintonian Act we had seen before whenever he was attacked.

"I DID NOT HAVE SEX WITH THAT WOMEN" was joined the day the Lewinsky story broke with Hilary's "vast Right Wing Conspiracy." I defended The Clinton's for 16 years with the justification that either a. others are worse/same, or b. the Clinton's accomplish much.

But what do the Clinton's accomplish besides their own wealth and vanity that is worth the way they tear out the heart of America and the Democratic Party?

I apologize for defending The Clinton's and I hope they take their hundreds of millions of dollars and retire.

HIllary 2012! Chelsea 2020!

There is just too much the Dem Party wants to put on the shoulders of the Clintons in term of selling Obama out there. It is such a daunting task when the party hasn't figure out yet on what shape, color, vision or substance their nominee should be packaged other than OBama is a rock star, or at least a Democrat.

By now, the nation has already had a glimpse of him as a shape shifter, flip-flopper and mere cocky empty suit.

If not Hillary, then McCain

But why do you have to demean, constantly, this "women of a certain age"? What does that mean, exactly?

What age are you? Are you a man of a "certain age"? Testosterone levels going down? Some ED in the bedroom?

I was never told I couldn't do anything.

Having said that, I am a youthful, energetic, and good looking

53 year old. Is there something wrong with that?

And I am not grieving. Obama did not win. He was selected. His nomination is illegitimate, and that is why I will support McCain.

Feminist support for HIllary

There is no equivalent bitterness in the Republican party because McCain was foisted on us conservatives - we will play the hand we are dealt. But Dems, who have fostered and fed the politics of identity, are reaping the whirlwind now, with feminists refusing to stand down to the Afrocentrists. Good for both of them. Feminists especially. They are, and were an anomaly of their time. Their men have left them, younger women refuse to identify with them or espouse their radical polarization. And now their heroine, Hillary the Convenient Feminist, the only feminist ever likely to have a shot at The Big Job, is whipsawed by her party because it's the Black Guy's moment. Little secret: the Dems have learned to despise the Clintons as much as the rest of the country did. This would never have been pulled on another woman candidate.
