USNWR is hoping for McCain to win. That's why you get articles like this about Hillary and 2012. Mrs. Clinton could not have done any better for Barack. She tried to push him and she succeeded.

DNC

I would have voted for Hillary, but you lost my vote and I am a Republican! Hillary was robbed by her own party. Shame on you.

Edgy it is. A lot is said about Hillary releasing her delegates and attaining party unity. If only it were that simple. Hillary voters are not sheep. They will think for themselves, thank you. Obama will win the election if he convinces the majority of Americans that his ideas reflect their interests. If he is unsuccesful in doing that, don't blame one block of voters. Obama has obviously failed to convince many of us that he is the right person for the job. But in the end, who I vote for is my business. Recommend died in the wool Obama voters worry about themselves.

Whose image needed smoothing?

I doubt that enough people were watching (especially enough of those who aren't already dyed in the wool) for this to help. I think Mrs. Obama already has an image which she must ameliorate, at least as much as does Senator Obama.
