TALK IS CHEAP ...

CHARACTER COMPARISONS ...

Lofty speeches are great ... but actons

speak louder than words !!!

In addition to 20+ more years of service and

experience in the U.S. senate than the other

candidate ...

One candidate, John McCain watched his fellow

prisoner's backs, at great cost to himself. After

3 years as a tortured P.O.W. in Vietnam, he was

offered early release by the enemy. But, since it

would have been dishonorable to get released

before his fellow prisoners, he refused, which

resulted in 2 1/2 additional years of torture and

captivity.

The other candidate, Barack Obama threw his

self proclaimed friend, spiritual advisor, and mentor

of 20 years, under the bus for political expediency and gain.

To vote for Obama, after learning these differences ...

will say as much about your character, as it does about

the character of the two candidates.

Obama is not a leader and that is proven by Hillary coming to save the day, and now with Biden to be some sort of attack dog for him. Neither of which truly believe in him as being experienced or ready to be a leader, and that is a fact. I love Hillary and the entire Clinton family, they have done all they can do for him. People will vote for who they want, and Obama shows us all by not getting his own voice...that he doesn`t care enough about any of us, we are just a number to him to get a job. I would have voted for Hillary as President. Now i will vote for McCain, rather than not vote and just hand the presidental torch to Obama. I vote for the best experienced, qualified, a true leader ...and Obama isn`t any of those.

I expext more from U.S News and World Report

Mr. Barone -

I'm not sure where the line is blurred when it comes to reporting factual information and reporting vague recollections from 40 years ago. The International Amphitheater in Chicago seated 9,000 people in 1968. The Pepsi Center in Denver seats nearly 20,000 for the DNC. I realize today's journalists revel in criticizing just about anything you can get your hands on, but I expect more than "seems about three times as large" reporting from the U.S. News and World Report.

This Article

Happened upon this article....The start of the DNC and this is what you wrote...Amazing!!! LMAO....

Give it your best shot.

Hello, Mr. Rick of PA,

I appreciate you taking the time to read my comments and at least make an attempt at answering. Give it a try. Demonstrate to me how McCain is on your side. You and I both are committed to a great America, right? Why else would you even bother to participate in a forum like this? Or am I incorrect about that- are you really for a corporate run America with a constitution in shatters. Remember-- the 2nd Amendment isn't too far behind the 1st and 4th. Hold on to your guns. You may need them when Blackwater starts to prowl in your neighborhood like they did in New Orleans.

Given our common commitments, don't you think that trying to find solutions to our problems would be the best approach? Or do you think that blindly writing off anyone who has a difference of opinion is going to get us anywhere? I personally want to see a great America. You seem to want to drop a couple of hate bombs in the fray here and then run off.

Give it your best shot. Tell me why John McCain is, for one, significantly different in his approach than Bush/Cheney, and for another, why his approach will benefit you or any other American. Can you do it? You probably just want to call me names and then cut and run. Prove me wrong.

I say, John McCain: Not Your Friend. What do you say?

By the way, it's Fnord, with an "F", not an "E". Look it up.

Yes, I really do believe it, because

actions, my fellow American, speak louder than four days worth of words in Denver.

The actions and stances of Obama (in his short career) and Biden (in his longer, yet no more distinguished career) very strongly indicate that they have a disdain for America.

Obama's close fraternal bonds with people like Wright and Ayers. His statements and actions that show more outright hostility toward our great nation than "love".

Biden, the list goes on and on of the things the has said and votes he has cast that have shown more than a fleeting animus toward America. Time and character space limitation prevent me from listing them all.

Put it another way: Based upon his history, would you begin a discourse with Nathan Bedford Forrest or James Earl Ray on the premise that you both love black people? No, of course you wouldn't, because not matter what choreographed statement they might issue in the present, the fact is that their lifetime of actions and statements et al dictates that they are not enamored with black people.

Why should Obama and Biden be any different? John McCain spent more time in a vietnamese tiger cage than Obama has been a Senator, and yet in that time Obama has distinguished himself as an ultra liberal who preaches the gospel of "American evilism" at every opportunity. I will say this--I do believe Obama when he says he is for change. It's the kind of change he wants to bring that scares the hell out of me. Change to him means tearing down the values and traditions that have made us the greatest republic ever.

I'm Brian of Michigan and I approve this message.

I Rest My Case

So Joe Biden and Barack Obama are "..Delusional, psychotic America haters who want to destroy this country and bring it down from within.."

Wow...strong words.

If we can't begin a discourse on the premise that WE ALL LOVE AMERICA, then i rest my case.

I'm a southern,pro-life,Christian,Democrat....but i'm an American first. And, that's who i see in the mirror.

I'm tired of a broken government..because both sides spend more time demonising eachother and Absolutely nothing gets done.

So, if we really believe that Obama and Biden are 'America Haters', then i rest my case!!!

Common Sense of GA

How can citizens have adult political conversations when half the electorate is functionally illiterate and post rational?

That is your question?

According to the 2004 Presidential Election results, you are incorrect. I believe only 47% of the electorate is 'functionally illiterate and post rational'. Hence, John Kerry getting 47% of the vote.

Also, the word "Democrat" is synonymous with infanticide and treason because of the ridiculous things liberal Dems have done and said over the past 40 years since their party was hijacked by leftist nutjobs at the Chicago convention. Vote after vote and speech after speech decrying the assault on the "rights" of criminals and terrorists, while they vote to eliminate the very right to life of innocent babies.

Defending the indefensible despots and tyrants of Communist regime after communist regime, and casting America in the role of "bad guy".

You lament the image Dems have? Your name alone should tell you why they have it. You proclaim the American people too dumb to know the difference? If that were true, your party would be the most popular party in history. The mediots do their best to gloss over the anti-American stances and actions of the Democratic party. The "average American" who you think is so stupid? Well, enough of the "average Joes" have been able to see through the smokescreen of CNN, MSNBC, and the networks and see people like Obama and Biden for who they really are. Delusional, psychotic America haters who want to destroy this country and bring it down from within. And that's not an image anyone has "branded" them with. Their words, their actions, their votes, their friendships (with people like Jeremiah Wright and bill Ayers) have given them that well deserved reputation. You want to blame someone? Look in the mirror.

Reading 'Something of Substance'

Dear Rick of PA,

My comments were directed at some who have questioned Obama's patriotism, his citizenship and even whether or not he was really born in the United States. I watched CSPAN a few days ago and listened to a caller state she had absolute proof Obama was linked to terrorist groups.

Now tell me, Sir.

How can citizens have adult political conversations when half the electorate is functionally illiterate and post rational?

How can citizens have adult political conversations when the word 'Democrat' is synonymous with infanticide and treason?

I'm excited for both Obama and McCain, although i support Barack.I trully believe, America will be just fine regardless of this election's outcome. The greatest strength of our democracy is not our leaders, it's US..We the People.

So, with all due respect sir, I'm confident of my intellectual abilities...i can see both sides.

Lets try not to diminish this debate.....the stakes are too high.
