why do people assume all democrats to be best. there good and bad and ones victim in circumstances all sides. a lot of corrupt greedy people who got ones repub. or dem to help them and screw over fragile ones, and betray. some people power people worse than lot of politicians. just as there is good CEO people and corporations while ones not so good, as also anti corporates, it all depends on circumstances and people. i knew of a good generous republican while had some differences on issues, he provided so much generous help to a community who got rid of him because he was republican, and left community depleted, lot of derelicts, and some so called democrats of wrong circles who oppress women and help bad guys. (of course there were good democrats in community who did help women and children.

stevens indictment

could gov. palin take his place?

Ted Stevens should go to jail~period 5 years per count~just like millions of americans he is a criminal~legislation shold be adopted to take away the freedoms of all crooks!

TED STEVENS is a CRIMINAL

WE here in ALASKA have always KNOWN that TED STEVENS was a CRIMINAL, It just took a very long TIME to catch him with his hand in the COOKIE JAR. He will FINALLY get the JUSTICE HE DESERVES, for 40 years of robbing ALASKA and US TAXPAYERS.TED STEVENS CRIMINAL PROTEGE SARAH PALIN is deeply involved in CORRUPTION and CRONYISM,ABUSE OF POWER and FRAUD ,,ALSO

Corruption

What sets Akaska apart from the rest of the country is distance, Out of sight, out of mind. It's as simple as that to explain. Palin is just another corrupt Alaskan official. She'll be caught as well, and then we have more kindling for the fire. Maybe Alaska needs to be sent to the Russians; we keep the mineral rights (oil) and give them the rest.

Stay tuned for Part II of the As The Palin Turns. Alaska is a joke, and it will remain as such until the greed is removed, Starting at the top down.

Stevens and Young are your DeLay

We here in Texas had to accept and deal with Tom DeLay, a Prince of Corruption here, just as Ted Stevens and Don Young are Princes of Corruption for you up there in Alaska. And it should never have happened to any of them. As Lord Acton said, "Power corrupts, and absolute power corrupts absolutely." All three of these men rose to power and held power for years... and were not careful enough. All three have become corrupt and abusive of the American people. DeLay has fallen, and now Stevens and Young shall fall. To all three, I say, good riddance. Let the purge of the Corrupt continue. The Republicans shall eventually be well again - someday - but only afterwards.

He apparently was good for Alaska, but was he good for the United States? And it's hard to feel sorry for someone with that much experience who gets thousands of dollars of favors from companies he uses the power of government to favor at other people's expense. Even if somehow it turns out he didn't know he was getting the favors, he should have known. He should be treated no better-- and probably much more harshly-- than an ordinary person who derives $200,000+ in benefits from a criminal who does it in the hope of help with his crimes.

It remains sad that someone with such an eminent position would stoop so low, but we should remember that the reason we feel sad is that the material benefit from the crime seems so slight relative to the immorality and the loss in reputation.
