If we are going to have a no qualified President like Obama....

If voters, vote in a non qualified President like Obama why not have a non qualified Vice President because only if the President dies could he make any real changes. Since we are voting in a person that simply does not have the experience needed to be president. I am not for sure if he could even get a entry level job with any company in this country. Obama doesnot have any experience.......We better think about who we are placing in the hightest Job in the world......I never liked Hillary but how the Demc Party has treated her is a shame......I will not vote for Obama......At least Gov.Strickland would have visited our veterans. I know Gov. Strickland cares about the veterans, I am one.

The Accidental Governor

Ted Strickland also benefited from the republican implosion in Ohio as well as a couple of democratic heavy hitters dropping out of the race. He's done a decent job to date but is really a journeyman politician.

Strickland's Qualifications

His qualifications exceed most of those of former vice-presidents and candidates for the vice-president. Dan Quayle comes to mind-one heart beat from the presidency with a mind that was not worth wasting.

why strickland is popular in Ohio

Strickland is highly popular in Ohio for one reason. Ohio has the worst Republicans in the nation and former governor Bob Taft was one of the worst of them. He is a relief especially to Ohio conservatives. ( But our hearts pine for Blackwell.)

What he might bring to the ticket is a certain style that would be more appealing to Hilary Clinton Democrats - blue collar/ rural and socially conservative. Of course there is no substance behind this veneer.

How refreshing to hear a realistic officeholder. This Governor obviously has his priorities straight in life. Why should everyone in office think they are the most qualified? Reality doesn't support that view, so I'm excited that at least one official has the ability to look at himself realistically.

Love Sparky's merging of Senator Jim Webb with the songwriter Jimmy Webb!

That exemplifies the problem with America today. People could make educated votes but many are too indolent to bother. Their intelligence is being insulted by the sound bite misrepresentations of most campaigns and yet voters don't bother to learn the truth. Sadly, many deserve the contempt expressed by some of these campaigns.

Democracy requires the knowledgable participation of the people. We now have problems getting participation of even 50% of voters. More pathetically of all, those who vote are often voting their knee-jerk emotional response to sound bites rather than the policies being espoused by the candidate.

Tragically America usually gets the office holders it deserves.

Excellent idea, G O M of CA

After all, he did write "Wichita Lineman" (that should help in Kansas), "Galveston" (Texas is in the bag), and even though many cringe at "McArthur Park", it's still a great song. Jim Webb is a great national treasure, let's put him on the ticket!

One Guy

Jim Webb.

Strickland

Well, say what you want but he looks more qualified than Obama from the resume you gave. Maybe, Obama needs more for that reason.

What?

But isn't he more experienced and more qualified then Obummer?
