Palin POWER!
Hey hey Guys....
Look out because Sarah Palin changes EVERYTHING! John McCain was the Maverick that you were not paying attention to. Now America is listening to JOHN MCCAIN's positive message of change. Now we have a Maverick TEAM, yes, going to the Whitehouse. You forget that women are the majority in USA. We love the fact that we will finally have representation at the top. And... We love the fact that Sarah and John have a PROVEN TRACK record of taking on the establishment to SERVE the American constituency. Your man has a proven track record of serving his own political career goals..... HA!
US Election
I have spoken to A few friends who hold positions of trust in two of Europes Houses of parliment and , like me, a Canadian, they are astonished at the hatred of the black people shown in write-ins, to the media. Often it is hidden between the lines but still there. I love American Politics and have been interested in the young black man for a long time, who is now a nominee for President, and from what I have gleaned, I would have no hesitation in giving him my vote. Americans get some political skills, take another look at this man and maybe you will realize that here,in this young man, you can change the sour-grapes of the present system to the sweetness of all working together. He has the ability, mentally and physically, to dull the old and bring a new and more humane system to the Nation, a nation that is much deserving of it now God Bless America from a lot of people,outside of America who believe in this big-hearted Nation;
You're Right, Michael
McCain is going to steamroll Obama.
John and Hillary on the same ticket
John wants to do things that I think can really shake things up in Washington. One of those things is to have Hillary as his running mate. I know that some Republicans will go nuts and if she would accept, some Democrats will also go nuts. But John has this ability to bring people together. He has proven it time and time again. He will be able to prove that he will be a Statesman first and a Politician second. Having John and Hillary on the same ticket could be a biggest landslide vote ever.
Who knows?
Anybody who claims to know how this race is going to turn out is a fool.
The truth is that either guy could easily win. Look at the polling, especially the state-by-state numbers. Neither Obama nor McCain has a commanding lead in enough states to equal a blow-out.
Personally, I think McCain is a strong candidate. He has a hell of a story, he has been a strong advocate for stopping wasteful government spending, and he was pro-victory in Iraq back when talking about "victory" wasn't cool.
However, in this weird electoral environment, that might not mean anything. Voters may decide to turn the country over to Obama, the "blank slate," due to the desperation and confusion they feel about the future.
I've followed politics my whole life, and I've never seen a stranger political environment. The MSM has literally dropped all sense of objectivity in an attempt to elect Obama and assuage their white guilt. The people are outraged at an intrusive government that seems incapable of fulfilling ANY of its most basic functions (see border security, disaster response, runaway spending), yet they are willing to turn the country over to a guy promising a BIGGER, MORE INTRUSIVE GOVERNMENT.
Very weird. Plus, remember the Douglas Wilder effect. If that occurs on a national level, we might see Obama polling 2-4 points ahead of McCain on election ever, only to lose a tight one come election Tuesday.
There are a million little twists or turns that we can't foresee right now. What if Obama takes a white male, like Webb, and McCain counters with Sarah Palin, the hot female governor of Alaska? Could that tip enough white women in McCain's direction to put him over the top? Who knows?
I wouldn't bet against McCain. He might be old, but he's tough as hell. He should have been dead three times already.
McCain; The New Eisenhower
Remember Ike? The pragmatist president who gave us the space race and interstate highways. That is kind of how I view McCain. He is not an ideologue, but a pragmatist who is willing to compromise to get things done. Mayby my thnking is fuzzy here, but this works for me right now.
Hillary should stay away from VP if offered
Let Obama stand alone, because he's not going to beat McCain in the fall anyway. She doesn't want to be on that ticket. I think McCain should take it this election, and the Republicans should be the ones to get us out of Iraq. This country is still in a downward spiral, and we haven't quite hit bottom yet. Since the Republicans are the ones that started that downward spiral, they should be the ones to "reap all the benefits" of it as well. Let them clean it up. I'm so disgusted by this government and by what has happened to our name across the world. Just give it to McCain. Let it get bad.... real bad. Then maybe the people of this country will come together finally. Get good and MAD people! I know I am angry. I've been angry since the election was stolen from Gore.... but enough of that. For the first time in my life I will not vote this fall. I'm angry that my vote in Florida was basically taken from me because of some idiot in Tallahassee changed the date of the election by a couple weeks. I'm angry that America has embraced Obama so openly when they know little to nothing about him. What has he accomplished? I'm angry that Hillary received more votes than him, yet she's the one who's lost. I'm angry that every day spent in Iraq is another day of dead boys, and insurmountable debt. In my head I know this is the best country in the world, but I can't feel it in my gut anymore. And that angers me. So, out of spite, or because I'm one of those "angry Clinton supporters" I will not vote for Obama, I will not vote period.
Hillary is Barone's favorite?
Hillar is Barone's favorite? Why do people keep posting that on here. Hilarious.
