Obama's Remarks Are Liberal Snobbery

Lazy sociology

Let's see, Barone attempts to separate Obama and Hillary Clinton voters as “academics” vs. “Jacksonians” and says, in effect, Obama wins voters in bad places (big cities, academic enclaves and state capitols), while Clinton wins voters in good places (everywhere else). And Barone has the gall to use the term "elitist?"

There is a form of conservative snobbery -- we're more patriotic than you, we're more religiously observant than you, we're more heterosexual than you, we're more down-to-earth than you, etc. It's snobbery, only without Obama's pity -- it's pure disdain.

Yup, Barack Obama indulged in lazy stereotypes when he thought nobody in Pennsylvania was listening. His pop sociology is almost as bad as Michael Barone's.

(*Shakes Head*)

Obama conflated guns and religion with the ills of society. Self protection (and/or sport) and worship are not the outcome of bitterness. Stop trying to sidestep this incredible slander by making it sound like this is some deeper truth that he's unearthed. He's a bigot of a scary kind, and if you don't see this, you probably are too.

Rural PA

My primary residence is near Phila and I have a mountain retreat near a small village in northern PA. In this rural area I can have my doors unlocked and not worry about crime, as it is non existent. Those in the small rural area's are hard working, most all employed in farming, logging and construction. These people are very happy, polite, wonderful people. They are self reliant and have no desire or need for a government handout. It would be an insult to offer them one. These are the type of people this country needs more of.

How someone can be so out of touch is amazing.

Obama's Remarks Are Liberal Snobbery

I cannot believe you people that are getting attitudes over what Obama said. His words are true. People are trying to act as if they are appalled. Yea right! We are in a recession darnit. I am not bitter, I am mad as hell!

After reading this article i couldn't help but be annoyed at Barone's gossip. Look at what Barack said--he was explaining the past mistakes other presidents have made in the economy, and how he doesn't blame people for being upset with their leaders. How is this offensive? Media finds a strange enjoyment in misinterpreting statements and making leading figures seem devilish or stupid. Obama was stating a fact that most 'small town' Americans would readily agree with (notice how Barone had no contact with anyone struggling in Pennyslvania). Barone is a perfect example of the very thing he attempts to critisize, high brought up liberals who speak with big mouths and small heads. America needs dreams and needs someone who understsands them-or who will at least try to. Obama and McCain are examples of those who reach out to people, while Hillary and people like Barone are examples of those sitting in their leather chairs thinking of different ways to stir up the masses and cause more hatred.

Obama beats McBush (or McClinton)

If we are all paying attention to what the candidates say, it is McCain who should be unelectable. McCain still can't get it straight which side of the conflict in the Muslim world Al Qaeda is on - kind of important if you're going to have a war on terror to know who the various teams are. Or compare how easy he said Iraq would be, versus his later comments that no one ever said it would be easy. I don't care if McCain is just having some "senior moments," or is an idiot, or is corrupt, he obviously has no business being commander in chief. And Hillary, not bothering to read the intelligence estimate on Iraq before voting for the war, and then turning around and saying she didn't mean for the war to really happen. Our troops deserve much better. Obama was the only one who bothered to take the time to learn about the issues BEFORE speaking out, instead of consulting the latest poll to see where he stood.

Barone Nails It!

Obama is saying what he really thinks by his ugly comments. Obama and Rev. Wright are in the same left-wing kook fringe group. This is a major turning point in the dem nomination. Catholics in Penn will not support Obama now (as they once would). He will lose in a land slide and the super delegates are going to get very nervous. Stay tuned. This is going to be a fun ride.

The Sharecropper Says;

Not very difficult to believe how delusional Obama supporters are, those of you self titled “progressives” want so desperately to believe in your candidate that you imbue him/her with qualities that he/she simply do not posses. Obama is the very definition of an “Elitist”, as is Hillary and McCain. If you are so blind that you still cling to the “Left/Right” political paradigm then you need look no further than the mirror to see the root of our problems.

We have come to this point in history, not out of random events, but out of carefully crafted, Machiavellian manipulation of fools like you, dear reader. If you really and truly believe in your heart of hearts that Obama/Hillary/McCain has anything to offer us other than the status quo……..

You have no one to blame but yourself.

Mr. Obama touch a truth nerve

Most of america can not handle the truth. Senator Obama touched on a major truism, some of middle America believe that all that matters is their personal narrow point of veiw. If anyone disagrees or exercises their right to express an opinion, the God, Guns, and Guts, people, will attack and disparage such people as," UNGODLY or UNAMERICAN!!!" This Nation of ours is in dire need of some one who is willing to put there life on the line for the United Sates and for the masses of our citizens.

I believe that Senator Clinton & Senator McCain, are in bed together, when it comes to throwing out half truths to the American public.

After all Senator Clinton is a Barry Goldwater girl and a elitist .

Great Post

Excellant post....proven by the number of lib loonies who jumped on the writer as soon as it appeared...part of Obama's strategy of hitting back hard at any potentially damaging intel...I've lived and worked all over the world and now choose to live in a small town, as far away from the elitists as I can get and the air smells good!
