Thank you.

Outstanding. Thank you for sharing my story with your readers.

Thank you

Thank you, Kimberly. Great way to start off the new year!

My goal is to develop multiple income streams to replace my previous job's income doing things I much prefer. So far it's going ok, but I'm going to intensify it for the new year! The goal is small enough, $2000/mo after taxes...but that's really all we need. We're pretty frugal. And if I get more---off to invest and pay down debt.

Now I pay off my credit card every month

Good financial goals. In 2008 I will mark 10 debt-free years. I had $21,000 in credit card debt. I paid it off (long story) and gave up credit cards for five years. Now that I have one again I pay it off every month. So no debt whatsoever!

Gaining some understanding of the basics

Great article, Kim. My goal is to gain some basic understanding of financial matters so I can participate more actively in how my wonderful wife manages our family money!

Mr Macawber

Spending a week worrying about purchases of a $100 dollars ... do me a favour. That all smells of Mr Macawber from Charles Dickens, life is about chance and encounter not about the mundane. Let up and spend some time having a good time !!

Financial New Years resolutions article

My financial resolution is to make more money doing what I love best, making music. Based on the tunes as represented in the following links, what do you think my chances are?

New Years's Resolutions

Continue my financial plans. The infllation, especially in health care costs require continued planning and research and careful spending. So far as possible I will keep the plan that has been followed in the past.

1. Never pay full price for anything.

2. Before any purchase think "Do I really need this or do I just want it."

3. Invest carefully. Research before buying.

4. Keep records of spending.

5. "Wear it out, make it do!"

6. "Waste not, want not!

7. Follow my Doctor's orders.

8. Loose weight.

9. Keep in touch with friends.

10. Travel and have lots of fun!
