This is one of the most bogus comments I have ever read. First of all, what other way can "greedy" be used so it's not used in a bad way? Next, a certain technology that would have been used if McCain would have been elected is nuclear energy. Sounds dangerous right? Wrong. It is actually more environmentally friendly. Not to mention the 200,000 jobs it would hve created for AMERICANS. With this, there would be no need to have a $787 billion stimulus package that we the American citizens have seen none of. Instead it goes to bail out car companies and big business's. What happened to helping out the little guys like promised? What happened to anything else that was promised for that matter? We haven't seen any of it. Obama is trying to make the same impact Reagan did but in the opposite way. He's too focused making his speeches sound good while not fulfilling his promisses, trying to screw Israel over, spending too much time talking nice with our enemies and not enough time conversing with our allies, and stealing more money from us to use on government owned bussinesses and such, which by the way gets no money so how is it suppose to help us. Another simple solution to the economic problem that has risen since Carter was in office is debatable but necessary, DRILL FOR OIL. I don't know if your aware of this but a psychopath is in charge of Iran and killing their citizens who are brave enough to stand up to him and speak words of freedom are being killed all after our soldiers made an impact over there and made this a possibility for them and now we stand back and let the freedom fighters die on the streets. It's your right to stand up for the nation you love and care about, speak out and make sure your heard! Keep America free!
Coulda, Woulda, Did
American car companies are dumb. That's definately true. Green technology though? Where is it? I'm a student at a pretty good University, but I know of zero technologies out there that are even close to replacing oil products. If anybody were to think that there's people out there not trying to discover the next big thing, they would be wrong. Americans are too greedy to not be looking for that next big money maker, and I don't use greedy in a bad way. Every college professor and student that is getting massive amounts of dollars to crack the problem that is oil use in America wants that credit and a piece of that pie, no doubt, hands down. So I'll sum this up really quick: we're trying, it's not out there right now.
Economy Coulda Woulda Shoulda
I can't tell you how many jobs are overseas that should be here. Our own American companies know it is cheaper overseas for almost everything. I miss hearing the southern twang when I call customer service for a large company.
We have to make a new industry here and make it stay here. I think changing our lives to a more Green path will open up many horizons for us, US.
Let's start thinking internally. Out of the box ideas. Change our lives a little bit at a time for the better.
The car industry could have used the past 10 years to get us off of oil. Look where they are now.
The housing industry could have gone green 10 years ago to get us off of oil as well.
When are we going to get up and realize that the norm isn't going to make things better. I hate to say it but Obama is on the right path and I'm not sure if it is too much too late!
Sdeady is important
This is a good lesson. We should think the reasons over.
Calm dawn, take it slowly.Don't be too fast again.
Stimulus (Gov expantion act of 2009)
I have yet to see one item in the so called stimulus package that address the real problem. People need real productive jobs, jobs only industry can produce and sustain. Our industry has left us because the United States has been driving it away for the last 40 years. If we want it back, we are going to have to lure it back by eliminating the root causes. Some of the top culprits, Trial Lawyers, EPA, Workplace rules, (which BHO just added to) and the IRS, just to name a few. The government needs to get off the back of American business, and let it do business. As a businessman, I spend entirely too much of my otherwise productive time hoping I’m in compliance with several Federal agencies, some of whom issue conflicting regulations, my taxes are way too complicated, all the while living in fear that someone may accidentally get “injured” in the course of my day, and some lawyer deciding it’s time I “spread the wealth around”.
