Incompetent external meddling sets back peace in the Mid East

Carter, who displayed his vanity and naievety yesterday at the Hay on Wye Literary Festival (which I witnessed), has bestowed on the world Islamic Fundamentalism by his betrayal of the Shah. His excuse that he did not accept the Shah's regime's record on Human Rights was scoffed at by Arab Cabinet Ministers I spoke to in early 1977 who pointed out that it was no worse than the record of other Arab States, and far less than what would come with the Islamic Revolution which they forecast for Iran, followed by Afghanistan and then the Gulf. They said it was of the greatest danger not only to the Mid East but the entire World. They foretold of attempts for peace with Israel to enable them to cope with this crisis, and 6 months later Sadat went to Jerusalem. I was informed of the horror among the other Arab States when Carter was involved. Not only was he the cause of the crisis they foretold because of his ignorance but they did not want outside interference. They said the US and Soviet Union would never allow an Isro-Arab accord as the economic muscle of the oil weapon in Arab hands and Israeli genius would forge a force that neither super Power could accept. A rift in the region allowed for continued US and Soviet influence in the region. The belief was that had Sadat and Beguin negotiated alone, and Camp David never taken place greater accord would have been achieved. Having unleashed Militant Islam by Carter's policies, the involvement of Bush and his English poodle in Iraq have further seriously destabilised the region and created a climate where Iranian and Fundamentalist influence reaches to the heart of the Mid East and to the Meditarranean via Syria, Hizbollah and Hamas. Outside meddling (particularly by Carter and Bush) has caused enough chaos. What we do not need are further Carter sortees.

Carter is truly misguided

I don't hate Carter, but I have never understood his love affair with mass murderers. I will give him the benefit of the doubt and assume he truly believes that by appeasing these brutal tyrants that he will end the bloodbaths. But how many failures will he have to have before he realizes that you cannot appease psychopaths like Mashaal? The Left seems completely ignorant to history and causes and effects.

muhauhuauuhuaaahahahahaaaaa

i am coming for you carter......

Damage of Jimmy Carter

Jimmy Carter received media pass through entire life. He was an aide to Admiral Rickover with nuclear submarines, with duties of carrying the admiral's briefcase. Enlisted aide would have carried admiral's suitcase. Out of Navy and back to Plains, Ga to take over peanut farm which his brother Billy had kept profitaable. He went into public life, and when wife and I traveled through Georgia after my retirement in 1976, rest area in Georgia consisted of a 55 gallon metal barrel on wide spot alongside Highway 95. He was Governor then, so you can believe he did not get my vote for President. In the White House he micro-managed the White House tennis court, and not too well. By not supporting the Shah, Khomeini came back to power in Iran and killed more Iranians than the Shah's secret police ever imprisoned. Carter was weak, hence the takeover of our embassy in Iran, and the long holding of our citizens. When Carter authorized helicopter rescue, he did not give full support needed, and that was castastrophic failure. Carter "loved his enemies" but he should not have put U.S. approval on that. Terrorists in middle east have attacked us ever since, believing to be weak and toothless. Iran exported their terrorism throughout the world with support from the other terrorists interacting. Carter led the fight to turn Panama Canal back to the Panamanians, and President Reagan had to send military in to remove Noriega and break the Drug Cartels shipping out of Columbia through Panama. I have no respect for Jimmy Carter, except for nailing lumber in houses for the homeless. I am unaffiliated voter, but Democrats had better start supporting candidates more like Franklin D. Roosevelt, or Harry Truman. I have not supported any democrat since Truman, and I was a Democrat in my youth. Now 78, I know better.

Jimmy Carter

I think the saddest part of Jimmy Cater's life is that the naivete that plagued him in office has never loosened its grip. The result has been that a man who many, even those who disagreed with him, thought to be basically decent at heart is increasingly seen as a poser living in a twilight zone of his own making. Now even his good works with groups like Habitat for Humanity are overshadowed by his self righteous meddling.

Jimmy Carter

Jimmy Carter has accepted huge amounts of money from a well known millionaire Arab Anti Semite and Islamic Terror supporter. Jimmy Carter should be arrested for not having registered as a foreign agent. Jimmy Carter has never met an anti American dictator murderous thug that he did not love.

Palestine has never existed , in the history of this planet,as a national state, and the Arabs are not "Palestinians". Nor do they have a long history as squatters in the territories they now claim. They have no sovreign right to Judea and Samaria.

Arafat, the child murderer Nobel Prize winner, was a typical "Palestinian" . He was born in Cairo, Egypt.

It is interesting how Jimmy Carter lovers are so enamored of the Arabs and so anti Jewish, and so anti American.

Jimmy Carter

Carter needs his pastport taken and be put under house arrest. Someone needs to remind Carter that he was one of the worse if not the worse Presidnet we have ever had.

The Courage of Jimmy Carter

Finally, someone is trying to break the logjam. Carter doesn't have an ax to grind, isn't running for election, and doesn't care if he is criticized. Everyone else who tells the truth about conditions over there is labeled anti-Semitic. We encouraged the Palestinians to hold elections and HAMAS was democratically elected by the people. This administration only likes democratically elected officials if they approve of them. However, HAMAS represents a big chunk of the Palestinians and no peace will be accomplished without HAMAS at the negotiating table. Meanwhile, Israel is satisfied with the current situation because it gives them more time to build more settlements and more wall sections.

Backlash on Carters' history

People wake up and smell the Humus here. The reason for supporting the land of Isreal is because its the only democracy in all of the middle east. But I suppose the so called educated in America thinks its ok to have death camps for everyday citizens and trials without juries and completely little or no known rights for women. If that is the world that people want to have then sign me up for hell because at least you bargain with the devil. And by the way just because someone wins the noble peace prize doesn't mean that their morals and political agendas can be screwed up. Well thats liberal America for you not appreciating the cost of freedom and the persuit of happiness. May God have mercy on your souls. And read history for yourselves.
