John W. Mashek

In Debate, Obama Bests McCain, Whose Time Is Running Out

The Arizona senator was fine, but the Democratic nominee was better

Obama in not underqualified at all.

He demonstrates his qualifications just like Palin demonstrated he lack of any qualifications to hold the office of vice president. In other words Obama is intelligent and VERY well educated unlike Palin or Mccain.

I DON'T PUT A LOT OF STOCK IN MASHEK'S OPINION

Mashek claims to be Catholic, but is pro abortion... Ah, sorry JOhn, but the two don't go together. But, you and Obama sure do - Both of you claim that when life begins is "...above your pay grade." What a souless, flippant answer to the question of slaughtering a million innocents every year.

Feeble, immoral minds do, indeed, think alike.

Conservatives Bull

All I hear is he's a liberal! Ypu know what after all these years of conservative rule .People need to ask themselves what has it gotten them?Absolutely nada if you don't believe it check the stock market, the death rate in Iraq the jobless rate at home the deficit.Maybe it's time for a little liberalism for a change it couldn't hurt any worse I'm sure of that it might surprise you dummies. You've been so indoctrinated with Repuplican bull you"re afraid to think any more.

Debate

As an independent, I saw Obama as the clear winner. But, with that said, I don't put a lot of stock in debates. I go and study the candidate's position on the issues, and check their rhetoric on fact checking and pro-con websites. I read the commentaries by experts on the issues, not political and opinion talking heads. I also watch the popular voting results on CNN, MSNBC and other places. I would only use a debate, attack ads, or stump speeches to break a tie. In my opinion, there is no tie. Make your own informed opinion. But if you insist on being a ignorant (look it up) or a single issue voter, then I say this, "You care more about your own personal agenda than the good of the country!"

Just some more liberal journalism

McCain won Obama lost. You journalists just love to spin.

Don't make U.S. News and World Report loose credibility.

THE DEBATE

The debat between Macain and Obama was completly onesided. Obama dominated the debateand he seemed to know for the majority what he was talking about. McCain answered his questions but for the mst part seemed like he wasn't sure he knew what he was talking about. He danced around his questions for the most part of the debate. Overall I think that Obama won the debate hands done, and if he keeps this up he will withe next one also.

Obama is unqaulified as well . . .

"...the unqualified Gov. Sarah Palin of Alaska..."

I have news for you, John. Obama, the first term U.S Senator from Illinois, is every bit unqualified to be president as Palin is assumed to be. She has 15 years of political service to his 9. As a mayor and governor, she has executive experience vs only legislative for Obama. Moreover, Obama's intellectual and gifted speaker abilities do not alone qualify him to be the leader of America. In addition, Obama spent 12 years as a professor at the University of Chicago and for what? He never published a single work. Wright and Ayers aside, there's a lot to be critical about Obama in terms of his experience. What major legislation has he pushed through Congress? Don't get me wrong, I'm not arguing that Palin is more qualified. However, I do think every liberal minded Obama Nation lovers are incapable of admitting that Obama's presidential resume is THIN.

Finally, I can't stand John McCain. If the republicans had any sense, they would have put Palin at the head of the ticket and would have sent her to economics and foreign policy boot camp. Anyone who could not have foreseen independent and undecided voters associating McCain with a 3rd Bush term has no business pimping republican presidential candidates. At least with Palin, she really could have run on a ticket that says, "I'm about as far from Washington as you can get, and I will bring change to the White House."

Now, Obama is likely to walk into office with at least a 15 point margin of victory. Well, if he can get us off Middle Eastern and Venezuelan oil in 10 years, then I guess I'm all for that. But, good luck with setting up universal health care without raising taxes on people who make a whole lot less than $250K per year.

McCain is Losing It

The polls are moving away from McCain. The negative campaign is so unbecoming to put it mildly. America needs to reject negative politics. We need to take a hard look at the economy and make some tough decisions. Perhaps the troops coming home immediately could let the world know we mean business and not war.

The future is in real trouble now that GM is under 5 dollars a share. So goes GM, so goes America, I hope this is untrue. The world I know is gone, thanks to the past 8 years. Our government misread the economy.

The new leadership must focus on the economy. Bill Clinton should be appointed our economic czar. We need new leadership.McCain has proven that he is offering unstable leadership.America needs to be more like Canada. It appears they do not have the problems we have unless I am completely misinformed. Obama will need our best support.

vote obama

with the world the way it is, We do need a big change? And also

I would like to know what are you going to do with the economy

please make it a better living for people who are having hard times in this world,,,thanks my vote is for change??????

Indeed Obama was better. The same will be true in the oval office every day for the next 8 years. Prediction: McCain will lose and pass away of illness by 2012.

Palin not only won't run for president in 2012, she won't be re-elected in Alaska.

Fox News will hire her for broadcasting to their audience of idiots.
