Sarah Palin Appears to Scare the GOP

It's time to let the vice presidential candidate meet the press head on

Pity for Palin

The truly sad thing is that Sarah Palin is the sacrificial lamb of the Republican party. It's like...HERE SHE IS!!! Now hide her! While, it appears that she has messed up her own career somewhat (who hasn't made mistakes), but now this campaign is demolishing any chance of her having a successful career beyond this election. I understand that people like the IDEA of her, but the thought of her as the Vice-President is frightening. I honestly cannot imagine how terrified she must truly feel. If anyone can say that THEY would not feel overwhelmed, scared out of their mind, and out of their league, then they are fooling themselves.

Republicans Speak With Forked Tongue

I'm a former McCain supporter. I jumped ship not long after he picked Palin. She runs contrary to the issues where McCain represented reason and moderation.

I watched John McCain call Obama naive repeatedly and I can't imagine any more condescending tone than McCain used. He basically called Obama stupid and by extension un-American.

So why does Biden have to be careful about going after Palin? I'll tell you. My fellow Republicans have mastered the art of Soviet style confrontation where they cry foul over everything and ignore the rules of engagement.

The great tragedy is that my party is pandering to the fears of the majority of Americans using code words and hiding behind Palin's attack dog skirts. Totally shameful tactic and too bad people are so stupid as to not see through it.

I've been a Republican for 20 years and never felt so disgraced. There is a mean spirited, nasty set of values that proclaims Christian values that does nothing but impose their morals on others but fail to have the simplest measure of compassion for the less fortunate.

Thursday night, Palin will smile and look pretty and do more of what she did last month. Be the attack dog spouting off half baked insults toward Obama and promising to send more Americans to die in wars against third world countries with centuries of strife. It will all be long on patriotic bile and short on help/hope for the future. Even if she says something stupid, remember she preaching to people who would rather elect an ancient sell out (McCain) than a black man. If you don't believe me go to some of the more conservative papers web sites and read the comments. At least 10-20 percent use openly racists nonsense to justify their positions.

Will Palin ever be President? Go back and look at before and after pictures of recent Presidents and see how much they aged in office. None of them were as old and feeble as McCain when they started so don't be shocked if he doesn't make it through four years.

Twisted Truths

Her lack of qualifications for VP aside, its hard to trust someone from a small constituancy when an overwhelming number of her own people are calling for her impeachment for, not one, but a whole variety of wrong doings. If this is an example of competent government by palin, then I'll pass. Eight Bush years was enough for me.

Sarah Palin

The thought of Sarah Palin in the Oval Office truly scares me. And, yes there is a "betting" chance she will end up in the Oval Office during a McCain first term - between 25% and 33%, depending on the actuarial life expectancy data you look at for a man with McCains characteristics.

I am also deeply offended by people who feel I should support her because I am a woman. It is time for a woman to be president, but it must be the RIGHT woman, not an unqualified trophy president that will set women's accomplishments back by years if not decades.

SHE IS SCAEY

If it doesn't scare you that this person, who is lacking in every way, could end up, and is likely to, be the POTUS, then you certainly aren't thinking straight.

McSame/Fail-in

I am TERRIFIED,,,,

Oh God!

Perhaps the only thing scarier than a McCain Presidency might be a Palin Presidency. I find it telling that Palin's strongest supporter (Bert of PA) feels the need to evoke the name of God ten times (including "Lord" and "His") and quotes scripture twice. God help us!

Would you want Palin as President...

Lets not forget an elderly and unhealthy McCain would not be so unlikely to meet his maker during his term. Would you want a person afraid to face the press going toe to toe with world leaders... Brokering peace in the middle east(if she could find it). I am TERRIFIED at this prospect and what frightens me more is that half of america would trust her to steer the ship. Have we not suffered enough in these past eight years.

Slow down there pal

T. McMillan,

I wouldn't characterize McCain as a Godless demagogue, but I do agree he seems to think the world begins and ends with him.

Sara Palin can do it!

Judge not that ye be not judge... Palin may not be the perfect candidate (no one will ever be anyway)but definitely she can be one of the best. God has blessed america all these years and we always say " In God We Trust" which may also mean ordinary people can carry extraordinary task with GOD! What we need are God-fearing, God-centered, God-dependent leaders.Besides, McCain and Palin has proven their worth to lead the country and one thing more, women can be great leaders too! To McCain and Palin...The task ahead you is never as great as the power behind you-God's power."be strong in the Lord and in His mighty power. Ephesians 6:10"God Bless!
