Is Global Warming a Real Problem?

Is there sound evidence that humans are causing the rise in global temperatures?

Posted October 22, 2009

Fewer Americans see hard evidence for global warming, according to a poll study conducted by the Pew Research Center released today. Also, only 35 percent of the country believes that global warming is a serious problem, down 9 percent from last year's polls. Despite waning beliefs in the seriousness of the issue and the extent of human responsibility, the report also states that support for limiting carbon emissions is still higher than opposition. What do you think? How serious is global warming? Take our poll and post your thoughts below.

GLOBAL WARMING

global warming is a serious isssue and should be taken care of.some plants and animals have to be in an cold enviorment to survive so if we keep doing things to cause it we mite as well kill our cold blooded plants and animals

I do not believe humans are causing global warming

There isn't any proof. You can't take a hundred years or so and compare it to BILLIONS of years and say that there is global warming. The entire earth used to be water. It used to be fire. It used to be ice. How can anyone even take 100 years, a grain of sand on a huge beach, know what is happening to the planet? For all we know, there could have been an entire civilization just like us billions of years ago. There could have been dozens of them in 5 BILLION years.

No, Not Really

Part of the problem is that most of the arguments I hear supporting the case for global change are based on politics, not science.
