Ditto what the person above me said

I couldn't have said it better. Let me just add that I think the people who vote for nationalized health care should be the ones who pay for it. (I'm not supporting it because I can't afford it.)

A poll of common sense

"A majority of Americans are enthusiastic about reform." True, just NOT government reform. 53% are oppose Obama-care. Plus the priorities in this poll are no-brainers. Of course I want coverage for medical tests, choose my ownb doctor or hospital, be insurable no matter what, affordable insurance and to keep my current plan. You don't need a poll to determine that and a govt run plan will not provide that I don't care what Obama says. He hasn't even read the 1000 plus pages yet he says its urgent Congress passes it and Americans accept it.

What Americans don't want is a government plan dictating their coverage. Obama states you can keep your existing coverage....a lie. Example, if you change jobs you can not join the new companies plan you have to join the govt plan. Obama states it will increase competition which will lower costs....another lie. Private carriers will not be able to compete with a govt plan becuase the govt doesn't have to make a profit and can operate on a lose as they do now on all other govt run programs. The govt plan will put private insurance out of business. No profit, no company...its that simple. I could go on but just one more. Lastly, almost 90% of Americans are presently insured so why revamp an entire system for 10% to 15% of the population?? Use what works well now and make changes or build upon that. Stop charging $15 for a band-aid at a hospital, stop letting insurance companies dictate fees, and impose major reform on malpractice suits.

Obama wants control not a better healthcare system.
