Afghanistan
We learned nothing from our invasions of Korea and Viet Nam. We lost both incursions, because we faked the cause of why we went in there. Now we faked the cause in Iraq and failed again. These are ancient Asian cultures who do not want to give up their culture for ours.
Who are we to judge anyone? Corruption is rampant in our society and government. Our children are saddistic, freaks who adore people like M.J. a pedophile. We laud drugs, half naked attire, swearing and violence in the Media. This is what we want for our children apparently, as these are the values we are teaching by example.
Our society has now failed economically and have threatened the global economy with our GREED. No one is being held accountable. In fact the government has given all the thieves our tax dollars as bonuses for their crimes. We are the only industrialized nation, includig China, that does not have nationalized health care. We are losers and running toward our demise as fast as we can.
We know that the terrorists are international, so why go into one of the poorest, medieval, places on earth to SAVE the Afghani's? It is run by war lords. SO BE IT! We are run by "war lords" only we are secretive about this. The MEN who run this country make them selves rich, buying tremendous life styles while the majority get by. We know who they are as they are lauded in the MEDIA as Supermen, no matter that they commit criminal acts to achieve this. Even our women are encouraged to become rapacious, greedy, users of people.
So let's admit we made another grievious error, like Viet Nam, Korea, Iraq and Afghanistan and send the commoners home to care for their own families. If the rich want the oil, cocaine, land, and whatever let them buy it with the money they have stolen so far.
The theme in Viet Nam was "What if THEY held a war, and nobody came?" Our children have to adopt this attitude in order to pay attention to what is happening in their own backyards.
Understanding Afghanistan
What all the previous invading powers have failed to realize is that Afghanistan adheres to the tenacity and patriotism that empowers them to resist occupation over the long run. To understand this Afghan mentality, one must read Holy Balenyata. The Balenyata gives an historical account of the role of religion and ancient culture to contemporary Afghanistan. Largely dismissed, the Balenyata has made a comeback in its influence all over the world.
