There is a void of rational recognition!
The article is articulate, yet it is not exact and complete on the account that it does not know the whole aspects of the so called Revolution.
As a MSc student at sharif Univ. in Iran who think that I saw many digusting events and know much about the recent days and years and contemporary history of Iran, believe that there is a fault in this atmosphere, that is, some of the mida like many people follow emotions and not rational analyses.
For example, it is probably intersting for you to know that during the campaign, Mir Hossein Mousavi did not insist in or even talk about the "liberty", or "human rights", or "thought freedom'. On the other hand, the reformist candidate, Mahdi Karroubi, talked about those dear values and promised to try to establsih a more lawful govmt in which different people from various parts and religions feel more comfortable and free.
As a result, in the recent coup against the reformists, Karroubi's ballots was declared even less that the invalid ballots!! because of the fact that the regime was very upset of his upfront speeches.
Why the media do not know or are not informed about these serios issues?
A wise person who protests must know what he wants and what would happen after the probably victory. He must know the leaders and politicians and their thoughts and actions. Otherwise we may face with a disaster and not a amelioration after a reform or a revolution such as those appeared after the Communist Revolution in Russia, Cuba, Latin Amercia, China, ... or in Iran after the 1979's Revolution.
