Im extremely disturbed that republicans and democrats say that health care reform is too expensive. Especially if what the writer says is true about the bank bailouts cost 30 times more then any health care reform bill on the table. What good did it do? Banks that weren't dumb and didn't expect to be bailed out over stupid moves would have risen and taken those spots of the fat banks. It floors me that for so many in congress who live breath capitalism jumped on board the bank bailouts yet scream bloody murder when we actually try to spend money on the you know tax payers?

Class warfare

The only class warfare I have seen was the support of UAW over bond holder of auto bankruptcy. And that is traditional support of unions by democratics. Since UAW is getting smaller all the time I don't see this as a plus. If anything it is a negative. It is too late to save most unions that are in manufacturing.

THE MAJOR MEDIA OUTLETS IN THIS COUNTRY ARE SO IN LOVE WITH OUR PRESIDENT THAT HE CAN DO NO WRONG NOR ARE THEY WILLING TO QUESTION HIS MOTIVES. THE FOURTH BRANCH OF GOVERNMENT WHICH INCLUDES THE "PRESS" IN THIS COUNTRY ARE THE SO CALLED "WATCHDOGS" OF OUR POLITICAL PARTIES. IT APPEARS THAT THESE "LAPDOGS" ARE CONTENT TO FEED THE AMERICAN PUBLIC WHATEVER SCRAPS THEY FEEL LIKE WE'RE ENTITLED TO HEAR. WHATEVER HAPPENED TO OBJECTIVE JOURNALISM? WE CAN SEE WHAT HAPPENS WHEN POWERFUL PEOPLE RUN OUT OF CONTROL, JUST LOOK AT NORTH KOREA AND IRAN.

Just put the people who really cannot get health insurance on Medicare, about 8 million. Not the 45 million that is put forth by the media. Problem solved, could have been solved 20 years ago but the Democrats want to control everybody.

Cut out the middle man

The Federal Reserve is the wrong department to provide economic oversight and regulation. It lacks transparency, reporting and accountability. Make Goldman Sachs the regulatory body. They have been doing the job all along and are required to provide quarterly reports of their activities. Larry Summers, Henry Paulsen, Timothy Geithner and the rest of the Council of Economic Advisors can continue their bonuses and fees.

Republican hypocrisy at its finest

It's hilarious to read a Republican operative, who toiled for those champions of the proletariat Ronald Reagan and Geo W Bush, call Obama a friend of the rich and enemy of the teeming masses. Give me a break. Was he laughing while he wrote this nonsense? Or has he totally lost all sense of reality? More likely, this is part of the Frank Luntz plan to "say anything" to stop health care reform. Sure, they care about the Americans with no or bad insurance. But history tells us they care a lot more about their funders in the insurance and pharma industry. Shameless!
