How Should the U.S. Respond to North Korea?

Posted June 9, 2009

Political Bulletin reports: "Hours after Secretary of State Hillary Clinton declared on ABC's This Week that North Korea's charges against two US journalists on trial there were 'absolutely without merit or foundation...' a court in the Asian nation announced it had found them guilty." The two reporters were sentenced to 12 years of hard labor. How should the U.S. respond to the sentencing? Should North Korea be placed back on the U.S.'s list of state sponsors of terrorism, as some have threatened? Post your thoughts.

What USA should do about N.KOREA

USA should avoid acting alone. USA must usa UN mechanisms as much as possible in order to work with its allies.

Another war is not good for USA. USA citizen have already suffered during recent very expensive wars.

About the two jounalists; USA to use diplomacy as much as possible coupled with UN channels, international liason and USA own special intelligent means. Praying for the two journalists is also very important.

I think this is an era of diplomacy and special intelligence and not war. War is too expensive and in most cases does not produce positive outcome. Avoid war unless in self defense.
