teri,

do you really think that raising the debt in five months as you stated from 1.5 trillion to 11 trillion is a good job?

This President is flushing our country down the tubes.

Kathie and Jason are so on the mark.

This President has cost this country so much money. He is not for the PEOPLE that clearly shows by his actions. Does anyone truly believe that he cares what happens to the average true Blue American. No way. This climate bill that passed the house today was under handed. Did you know that a chunk of the Reps that were against it or on the fence about it did not get the 3:08AM changes that would have helped the Reps on the fence to vote against it. There is so much sneaky stuff going on. It makes me sick that some people we elect are not working for us "The People".

His actions are going to cost us in ways that I don't even want to think about.

People really need to wake up and get active.

wake up people

Your new president speaks well, acts well, dresses well...But WE THE PEOPLE are getting less and less say...Government is growing way out of control...And controling way to much...We are a Christian nation !!! This Moslem nonsense is for the birds..This health care plan has NOT worked in any country it was tried in..Why would anybody want it here..He spent WAY to much money WAY to fast, and continuing to do so...Haste makes waste folks, he needs to give the law makers time to read it first...!! He does NOT have the experience he needs,YOu want to hear the truth in plain english watch FOX...!!! He may have been handed a mess but he's making it a TRILLION times worse...He's taking YOUR CHILDREN"S future away from them...Along with their freedoms...WAKE UP !!!

Hey teri, time to wake up...

Sure the economy whas it a tailspin when Obama took over and Bush definitely contributed to that. Of course, blame for the meltdown in the housing market can be spread across many public and business leaders from Bush, Bill Clinton, Barney Frank, and Chris Dodd to Fed Chairman Alan Greenspan and miscellaneous rogue and greedy bankers and Wall Street CEO's. Trying to pin the blame for what happned on one person or political party is pure naivete and a shows a complete lack of understanding of what really brought us to this crisis.

Regardless of what happened during the Bush adminstration, how can you make the argument that because Obama inherited a bad economy, he gets a pass and blank check to spend as much as he wants, wherever he wants? Just because Bush spent a lot of money on a war doesn't give Obama the right to try to one, two, or three up him and spend trillions more than any president in history.

If Obama has his druthers and continues on his current path, he will lead this country to inevitable bankruptcy, hyper-inflation, and a lower standard of living and standing in the world for generations to come. Look at his 700 billion + stimulus package he and Congress passed in February that absolutely had to get done then or the economy would collapse. Well, here we are almost 6 months later, less than 100 billion of that has even been allocated, and somehow the economy hasn't caved and the country is still functioning.

Remind me again why that had be done right away without giving anyone the time to even review the bill's content? Remind me again why we need health care reform ASAP without taking time to review all angles, plans, and ideas before spending trillions more when Obama's own party is now telling him the money isn't there?

If this is your idea (spending trillions while not even taking the time to figure out if it is necessary or there are better ideas or alternatives) of a president doing an awesome job, I'd hate to say what an alternative might look like.

Remember, just because someone speaks well and has a Harvard education doesn't mean they necessarily understand economics, spending, and know what is in the best long term interest of 300 million people and future generations of Americans. Obama is playing politics and putting his agenda ahead of the overall wellbeing and future of America.

Any prudent reform, change, or spending should be done in a responsible and informed manner. Trying to ram through huge and costly changes without even taking the time to figure out how to pay for them is a recipe for disaster and will hurt Obama and his party in the long run.

The Deficit is the Price We Pay for Republican Rule.

Nobody asked for my vote.

President Obama in the short (5) months he's been in office has done an Awesome Job! He inherited a Titanic mess, and I will gladly pay for what it will take to get our economy back on track, a public heath care option, and clean energy policy for the future.

The deficit is a necessary evil forced upon us from the ineptness of the past (8) years. The republicans and bush policies of the past (8) years have left us with an unprecedented economic disaster, a war we should have never instigated, and a trillion and one-half dollars of debt prior to Obama taking office. Without the investment of government into our economy we would have experienced an economic collapse. I'm sick and tired of hearing the repub and neocon rhetoric about the "deficit". You repubs created it.
