Republicans Call Bush Era Ancient History, But Polls Show That Voters Remember
The fault lines and apparent contradictions within the polling numbers raise another critical question: To what extent do people approve of Obama's policies specifically, and to what extent are they extending personal approval of him to foreign policy? In other words, are people saying, "He's got good ideas generally, he's not named George W. Bush, and he's breaking from the foreign policies I grew to dislike over the past eight years, so he must be doing a good job"? Soft support can disappear quickly.
Can the GOP capitalize? Not on their current course. Dick Cheney's tortured gloom-doggling last Thursday only figures to remind voters why they wanted to break from the Bush years. And Gallup reported that the party has become distinctly more socially conservative. To the extent that Republicans let Democrats occupy both the center and the left, they diminish their own chances.

Bias articles...
Mr. Schlesinger,
You should quickly go and get a job at CNN! The points you have made are as divisive as anything I have read!
I have learned through just watching that nature has a funny way of correcting all these ills. If our current governments decisions are correct then while it wont be easy, all should work out for the better. If they are incorrect as many have speculated as well, the only people to get hurt is the American people themselves. Personally, I have enough income from an extremely diverse portfolio built over 55 years to live a wonderful life but Mr. Schlesinger, if you or your extremest friends do not, its very likely you will starve or live a completely controlled life. Oh how the youth thinks the good life is always going to be available.
The University cannot feed the poor smart aleck nor will Mr. Obama or his incredibly intelligent associate Ms. Pelosi! They are looking out for themselves...
No Facts? No valid arguements?
I am here to educate. Don't believe me or ANY news.
Check the Congressional Budget Office or the US Treasury websites to LEARN the truth.
It takes a little work because Government Websites are MORE INEFFICIENT than private sites. If you look hard enough, you will find exactly where and HOW MUCH of OUR GRANDCHILDREN's money has been spent.
THINK for a "change".
"Selective" memory
Yes, it's true that too many Americans have selective memory when it comes to the last Administration. And you're a PERFECT example of THAT, Mr. Petty!!
