Does Meghan McCain Represent the Future of the Republican Party?

Posted April 21, 2009

Meghan McCain's speech at last weekend's Log Cabin Republicans convention is stirring controversy. Washington Whispers reports on McCain's speech: "Tonight I am proud to join you in challenging the mold and the notion of what being a Republican means.... I am concerned about the environment. I love to wear black. I think government is best when it stays out of people's lives and business as much as possible. I love punk rock. I believe in a strong national defense. I have a tattoo. I believe government should always be efficient and accountable. I have lots of gay friends, and yes, I am a Republican." Does Meghan McCain represent the future of the GOP? Post your thoughts.

Meghan McCain

If giving up conservative values is the future of the Republican party it has not much of a future. I don't like punk rock, I don't have any tattoos, and I don't have any gay friends. John McCain was not our best and Meghan is less than that.

Does Meghan McCain Represent the Future of the Republican Party?

Meghan McCain is a ditz. NO she is NOT the future of the GOP and neither is Sarah Palin, even though I like her a lot and voted for John McCain ONLY because Sarah was his running mate. I would have stayed home on election day, if it hadn't been for Sarah. Let's get real people, how in the heck can Meghan McCain help anything, much less the GOP? The good Lord knows the GOP needs help, but Meghan is certainly not the one to save it!.
