More Guns, Less Violent Crime as the Bad Guys Run or Die
More guns, less crime: Thanks to the Founding Fathers, we're as safe as in our mothers' arms

Prior to the Supreme Court's 2008 Heller decision, I'd have to admit that there were some Democrats and gun-control advocates who DID advocate a total ban on private firearms. After the Supreme Court justices handed down Heller, these same people obviously would have given up on a total gun ban, although they would still promote milder forms of gun control. Nowadays, there are NO LONGER any persons who seriously favor a total ban on private guns. After all, the Supreme Court has already prohibited a total ban.
The REAL PROBLEM is that there are certain Republicans and pro-gun advocates who still promote the notion (however exaggerated) that a total gun ban is a real possibility. This is even AFTER THE SUPREME COURT'S CLEAR-CUT RULING AGAINST A TOTAL BAN ON PRIVATE GUNS!!!!

Does the rock'n'roller (Nugent) still think that a total nationawide ban on firearms is a real possibility, even AFTER the U.S. Supreme Court said in June 2008 in D.C. v. Heller that there simply CANNOT be a total ban on private firearms. This ruling is binding on the local government in Washington D.C. and binding on the federal government itself. On the other hand, the Heller decision did not address gun restrictions imposed by the states or by local governments within the states. Regarding more moderate forms of gun control (i.e. almost anything short of a total ban on private gun ownership or use), Juatice Scalia suggested that the 2nd Amendment DOES permit some form of gun control, but NOT a total gun ban.

38piT6 Great work, webmaster, nice design!
We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal...
Ted pompously chirrups that:
'It is reassuring, and ultimately convenient, that fresh from escaping the scourges of tyranny, slavery, kings, and emperors, our brilliant, sensible Founding Fathers knew it was important to write down the self-evident truth that the right to self-defense is surely a God-given individual right to keep and bear arms.'
Gee-whizz, I wonder if these were the same sensible Founding Fathers who were themselves slave owners and who managed the genocide of the Red Men?
I think we should be told...
Motor City Makes Sense Man
Guns don't kill people; people playing country music on electric guitars kill people.
Thank you Ted
I have followed you for many years, and first and foremost, I want to say thank you for your candidacy, your honesty and your passion.
We, a nation of free individuals, need to step up, man up, cowboy up... what ever it will take to stop this fascism style of corporate takeover.
The military industrial complex, Bilderburg Group, Tri-Lateral Commission, Wall Street giants all need to be exposed and those on their political tit need to be removed from their suckling and forced to take responsibility for themselves.
Being able to live free, has been at the core of our founding fathers since this great nation was concieved. But man will be man, history repeats itself, and greed and power have always taken over and once again there are those who have... and those who have not.
Is it no different than in feudal times? The only difference is that technology has sped things up.
I ask those reading, what is the difference between those pheasants standing outside the gates of the castle begging for food and those on the governmental welfare tit?
It is time to bring America to where it should be, truly free, We need to bring accountability, integrity, and transparency back to the powers that be...
How have we let 457 individuals control the lives of the entire nation??? They are merely puppets of the global banking Wall Street elite that seems to be the elephant in the room that no one wants to talk about.
The funny thing is, 40 years ago they said that we would have a black president the day pigs fly...
We now have Swine Flew... I guess they knew something we didn't
God Bless you Ted, your family and your cause... I thank you and my family thanks you.
Keeping Guns Out of Criminals Hands
I agree there should be gun control, to keep guns out of criminals hands. The Federal background check at purchase required here in Texas is all that should be required. If you are a law abiding citizen, of sound mind and constitution, you should be able to buy, own and keep on your person any manner of firearm and ammunition you see fit to insure your personal safety and those you love. It's called FREEDOM! Criminals by profession are lazy cowards. They do not prey on the strong or prepared. They prey on the weak and defenseless. The best way to prevent becoming a victim is to not be weak or defenseless.
Pathetic
This is the most retarded article I have ever read. America has the highest crime rate in the industrialized world. Now we know why.
