Is Coach K Right to Criticize Obama for Focusing on His March Madness Bracket?

coach K's comment

This is not a hard concept to understand...Obama ran for and was elected to public office, and not just any public office. But I shouldn't have to tell Leroy that. Coach K doesn't have to spend every moment on the job coaching persay because he is a basketball coach, not the leader of the free world. Obama wanted the job, now he has it, and it shouldn't be spent appearing on ESPN, filling out brackets or calling White Sox pitchers after perfect games. Coach K didn't say anything inappropriate and anyone who criticizes Coach K for criticizing Obama is probably either a UNC fan, one of the sheeple who voted for Obama, or both.

Just win

Coach K get a life. How are you worried about what the President says about your team. Be quite and just win

Who Cares

What Obama did is just part of being in the Office. Presidents have to light Christmas trees pardon Thanksgiving turkeys and I'm sure that there are more pressing issues during all of these events. If coach K was serious with this statement he's an idiot I'm sure not every moment he spends on the job is coaching.

Coach K's comments

This is America where everyone has the right of freedom of speech even the President. I think Mr. Coach Mike K.'s comment could have been stated differently.

I found it to be disrespectful!

Coach K's criticism

Wait a minute!! Does anybody see the obvious irony/hypocrisy?? Isn't this NCAA tournament time?? Shouldn't COACH K be FOCUSING on getting his team to the FINAL FOUR and not what President Obama is doing??

Besides that, what' wrong with a President being a sports fan?? Didnt other President's throw out first pitches at baseball games and greet championship teams at the White House?? Aren't other people allowed to do their jobs AND fill out an occasional bracket?? Intelligent people can walk AND chewing gum at the same time, I thought.

PBO's Basketball Gaffe

President Obama focusing on anything other than ruining this country is a positive CHANGE.

And, what happens when Obama is wrong on the NCAA basketball champion, as he is on the economy? He will invite the winning team to the White House. It will NOT be his favored North Carolina. He will then have to eat crow, or lie in his public comments at the time. My guess is that he will fall back on what comes naturally: Lying.

Obama is a complete disaster. Coach K is absolutely correct. The President should be focusing on the country's business. His efforts to look like "the common man" by talking about his idleness and irrelevant activities, makes him look small and diminishes his office. Shame on him. Shame. Shame.

Coach K

I think the President has a right to choose teams in the NCAA brackets. Coach K has a right to his opinion and I pulled for Duke always over UNC. My team in the ACC is Florida State.

The economy versus basketball

Obama's interest in basketball takes his attention from "fixing" the nations sagging economy. Based on his record ...this is a good thing!

Perhaps next month he can concentrate on baseball...thus allowing the economy to further "fix" itself.

Oh, the money we'll save!

Coach K

What a bunch of silliness. Why would this kind of juvenile nonsense be worthy of media attention.

coach "K"

Doesn't the President have as much right to "play" at picking a winner as everybody else? Coach "K" is showing considerable petulance about not having one of his best seasons.
