Was Barack Obama Correct to Choose Leon Panetta to Head the CIA?
President-elect Obama will appoint former Clinton White House Chief of Staff Leon Panetta, an eight-term congressional veteran, to head the CIA. Because Panetta has no experience in the CIA, many seem caught off guard by the selection. Some have expressed skepticism and discontent at Obama's pick, though others cite Panetta's inexperience within the intelligence community as an asset, lauding his work as a manager at the highest levels of government. How good a choice i s Panetta to head the CIA? Does his inexperience within the intelligence community matter? Post your thoughts.

PANETTA
FOR BRUCE ALLEN OF FL UNFORTUNATELY WE DO HAVE SOMEWHERE TO GO OTHER THAN UP. IT IS THE OPPOSITE WHICH IS DOWN. I SINCERELY HOPE THAT WE DO GO UP. I AM IN AGREEMENT WITH YOU IN THAT WE COULD HAVE VOTED FOR HILLIARY AND GOTTEN THE TWO FOR ONE SPECIAL. BECAUSE OF THINGS LIKE THIS I HAVE A HARD TIME VOTING FOR A DEMOCRAT FOR PRESIDENT. I FEAR THAT IN THE ADMINISTRATIONS RUSH TO BE POLITICALLY CORRECT AND TO ENSURE THAT WE DON'T STEP ON TERRORISTS RIGHTS THAT WE COULD BE STANDING INTO DANGER.
Panetta
Obama's choice of Panetta to heqad the CIA only emphasizes Obama's own total lack of ability to be President.
Another appointee from the Clinton camp...we might as well have let Bill run for a third term. At least we knew where all his cronies stood on the need for the highest levels of intelligence possible to assure our national security.
Panetta knows nothing about spycraft nor does his background evidence that he has ever really thought about it.
I fear this is an open invitation to terrorist to attempt additional attacks against our country.
God help us.
