Burris Wants Respect and Power. Blagojevich Just Wants a Deal

I do not think that Roland Burris should be allowed to be in the Senate just because of the fact that Blagojevich appointed him. I think it would look really bad and this seems like just another scheme to put Blagojevich in the spotlight. Blagojevich should not be allowed to be back in office. He is so weird. Selling the seat is illegal and he should be impeached immediatly. I also think he is a corrupt man and will corupt the Illinois governtment more than it already is.
I agree with John. Both of these men are corrupt and should not be part of our government. Blago had no right to sell Obama's seat. The power he has as governer does not exuse him from selling the seat. Anyone who thinks that there is nothing wrong with it is dead wrong. Again agreeing with John, it's no wonder why our economy is as bad as it is when there are people out there that think that there is nothing wrong with the corruptions in our government. Allowing this to take place and not doing anything about it would just have made America look like we didn't care about these corruptions.
Burris and Blagojevich
I believe that Burris and Blagojevich should both be denied access to any polotical seat. Blago tried to SELL the seat to the highest bidder. And to you Isiah, you totally contrdicted yourself, what do you mean they didnt do anything wrong??? They both were involved in BUYING a political seat. YOu find nothing wrong with that??NO wonder why our econmy is so bad and we have tragic social issues facing the United Stes, we have people trying to buy the governemnt. The only reason I feel that Obama won the presidency is because he was black. I hear black people talking about Obama and "sporting" Obama clothes, but little to none of them know anything about Obama's policies or ideas, they just like him becuase he is black. I am not saying that ALL black people dont know anythig about him, but when I see the future generations, the future of our country, running around saying OBAMA 08 I fell that they should know a litte more about him other than he is black.
Back to Burris and Blago., they are both corrupt men and do not deserve to a part of our government.
Burris and Govenor
Burris deserves the Senate because he has done nothing wrong. He has experience as the Illinois Attourney General. There for he knows wat to do with a postion of power because he has held a high position in Illinois politics. Also, he was the first choice of the Govener of Illinois. So there must have been reason behind that.
Govener B. should stay in office because he did not do anything terribly wrong. he just wants to fill Obama's old seat with the person that he feels is best for it.That happens to be Burris. I think that the fate of the govenor is that he will keep his seat and Burris will take Obamas seat and everything will be alright in the future.
The Burris appt.
Sen.Reid and Durbin has put the democrats in abox.As a african american iam offended that they refused to seat Roland Burris. If the democrats does not find new leadership the republicans will out fox the democrats on every issue.Instead of the democrats working on major issues they are bogg down on this matter. It makes Obama look weak. Why can't he pick up the phone and tell Reid and Durbin to end this mess?
Roland Burris
It seems Roland Burris is the last honest man in Chicago. Blago can legally appoint him, let him do so. Apparently Roland Burris is guilty by association.
Burris the "Boo-Boo"
Why is this not plain to see? Blago has no reason but to take some of the attention off himself, to have appointed Burris. Does he really feel this is the only way he can get a seat? To have it given to you by a thug; then claim there's nothing wrong with that?
The fact that his own colleagues will not support his actions should at the very least, raise an eyebrow. I do feel sorry for him, because his need to fill that seat seems to have clouded his judgment. All the while, Blago is lovin' every minute of it; he is being used in the worse way.
What's he thinking with?
I admire my fellow alum, Mr Burris, and it's plainly obvious that he has a brain: you just have to wonder what is he thinking with lately? I mean, to weigh in last month that Radioactive Roddy's conduct was "reprehensible" and then turnaround and say, 'Oui, oui, mon capitaine' the next time you look up, there's a big "WTF?!?!?!" moment in here! I mean, what is UP with this? He had plenty of respect before all this--his RQ (respectability quotient) is definitely gonna take a hit.
To add to all this foolishness, now we hear Emanuel's seat will be filled by special election--held during the already scheduled primary! Why Obama's seat could not have been filled the same way, at the same time (the Republic will stand if Illinois doesn't have 2 seated senators, I'm sure!), just indicates to me that Burris is 'gittin' played!' Of course, why he's playin' along, is the $64,000 question!
Blagojevich
Five years in prison for each year he's been in office would be fair.
AN HONORABLE MAN....
of character would have walked away from the offer, and, I think, would have been the better for it.
