Two new reports show that fewer Americans are enrolling in colleges, which are increasingly costly.
- 34 percent: Portion of Americans ages 18 to 24 enrolled in college
- 53 percent: Portion of Koreans ages 18 to 24 enrolled in college
- 439 percent: Increase in the cost of higher education from 1982 to 2007
- 49: Number of states graded F for college affordability
- 24 percent: Projected share of family budget spent on college by 2036
