No Detroit Bailout

Detroit can't compete with Alabama, let alone China, Matt Kibbe writes

Bailouts for banks--loans for autocompanies

It is amazing how the brainwashing of public against their own

companies is so easy it seems.

Banks get a free pass and no questions asked for bailout but

domestic auto companies who are asking for small fraction

of money as a LOAN are treated with such distain. If not for

the economic disaster caused by banks things would not be this bad.

As the foreign companies send money back to their mother countries

and receive assistance from them when needed, much of the public here

bashes the domestic companies right here.

What happened to protecting your own? The foreign countries do it.

No Bailout for the Ineffective Big 3!

It's time to let survival of the fittest rule in Detroit!

Weed out the "fat cats" and let those who work "mean & lean" come out on top!

Let the taxpayers avoid another pick of their pockets!

Banks

Why are the banking heads still there?? It is such a contradiction.

Why is there no outrage there by East Coast media? It is muted

as they continue to divert attention away and onto the auto

industry as scapegoat. They created the economic crisis

of international proportions.

Big Three and easy way out

Why do I keep thinking about Custer when I read this article. All Custer had to do was attack a butch of stupid indians. And here we have three stupid heads of the auto industry. Just put them out of business. Custer just walked into something he didn't understand. And the result was.....not too good. Now we have another Custer that says charge things will workout. And if they don't likely everyone will get killed. No thanks!

Banks good management?

Why are the bank executives not being thrown out?? They obviously

had poor management practices--but no questions asked for their

money.

One standard for wall street--another standard for blue collar

workers.

The public is being bamboozled again--and giving away the

store--and domestic auto companies.

No Detroit Bailout

I have never owned a foreign car!! By choice!!

auto bailout

I've never owned a US car in my life. By choice.

Hate their styling, relative inferiority and the management & unions of Detroit.

Face it, the big 3 have been going down since the '70s. An 11th hour cash infusion isn't going to change their fate.

Big three must be reorganized before any more tax funds are used.

Mr Kibbie is right on the mark. It makes no sense to infuse taxpayer money in a failed business. The companies must be controlled by competent business managers. It is obvious that the current management who failed miserably must be changed. The same workers can produce cars of very high quality. The total cost to produce a car must be reduced. I suspect that labor is the largest single cost in producing the car. If other companies can produce cars in America Then we must use these American built cars to increase our economy.

When the big three are no more then I am sure the demand for cars will still survive. Production practices must be copied or learned from those of sucessful car managers.

America needs the jobs for our economy to get back on track. Billions of dollars have already been wasted on the greedy and corrupt managers in the banking industry.

It is time investigate exactly how the billions of dollars have and will be spent or commited.

Some say Chapter 7 liquidation is more likely than Chapter 11 reorganization. If that happens, your warranties are no good, your suppliers are stiffed, your unemployed workers pull down the wages of everyone else and YOU ARE FORCED TO BUY A FOREIGN CAR. Where is your patriotism, you lunatics?

T

Why the bank bailout then--let them go down with everyone else.
