The GOP Needs a New Game Plan

Values Count!

Republicans need to realize that an abandonment of core values will continue to bleed the Republican family into a comatose state.

When pro-life values are abandoned, voters stay home since there is no difference between the Repubs & Dems.

When traditional marriage values are abandoned, voters stay home since there is no difference between the Repubs & Dems.

When deficit spending continues to expand big government, voters stay home since there is no difference between the Repubs & Dems.

When prayer is abandoned in school we reap the consequences of school violence. Only when there is a national tragedy does the nation return to prayer.

The three state marriage amendments have recently passed, increasing the total to 30 states that have amended their state constitutions to define marriage as between one man and one woman. That's 30 for 30. Not a bad percentage.

Repubs should read the tea leaves. American core values are bonded to traditional values. Abandon those principles & the American people will leave the Republican Party in droves!

No white male would win against Obama

Obama managed to hypnotize Latinos and other minorities. Even catholics voted for a pro abortion candidate. McCain was destined to fail. He was no match for this young and aggressive half Kenyan man. Minorities flocked this man's rallies by the thousands,

I take Sarah Palin will be the leader of the GOP. She is younger than Obama and appeals to young people. She is conservative and will get the GOP nomination.

What Sarah would need to achieve a huge victory in 2012 is to pick a Hispanic running mate! I see Mario Diaz-Baralt. Mario would give her Florida and Ohio back.

The era of white males is over in the GOP! If they want to take president Obama down, they need to take back those minorities votes.

The new leaders are all minorities!

Put America first, stop starting wars we cant win, spend the money on America, stop giving our jobs to India H1-b keep our jobs here.

Until they get it, Republicans will lose, lose, lose.

I thought "Country First" was dumb the first time I saw it on a podium. Sounds good, until you ask whether "country" really is supposed to precede integrity, peace, fairness abroad, family, even God. They went "looney", thinking they could win on the Iraq "surge" stuff again and didn't even know the world financial house was burning down from a fire the GOP itself started with no regulation of credit default swaps.

FILE UNDER "I Told You So " Republicans- if you will once & for all leave Roe v Wade to those directly concerned you will gain back the VAST MIDDLE.Next ,when Obamas' flock of lil' lambs find out they're on the dinner menu (DRAFTED & on their way to the Congo or Darfur) that demographic will cease to be a factor .The generational war that Axlerod & Co. fomented between millenials & everyone else ,will be turned against them .Latins ,slighted from the missed opp. to name Richardson as Sec. of State , realised they'd been had -that leaves black voters ,who from now on vote for ANY black candidate -which is a racist expression on their part -so be it . Take heart , the recycled warmed up left over i.e Camelot II is passe' ,not even Madison Ave. can put a wig on that corpse.

As long as the far right base is running the party with the same old ideology, they will have to continue wandering in the wilderness. Republicans have lost their soul. Politics to them is all about team playing -- you know, you are either with us or against us -- it's not about the United States of America. They don't even know the meaning of the words bi-partisan, inclusive, or working together and they have allowed hatemongers like Limbaugh and Hannity to be their spokes- persons. People are tired of that and want solutions with civility. This "fiscally conservative" party is leaving this country in the worst financial shape we've been in since the Great Depression. They don't talk about solutions -- it's all about destroying their opponent's character.

Republican Renewal?

Are there any real conservatives left in the Republican Party? I do not see much evidence. Ronald Reagan wounded conservatism in this country and George Bush 43 killed it completely.

Fiscal responsibility? I give credit to Bush 41, Newt Gingrinch and Bill Clinton, but none at all to Reagan and Bush 43. Raising spending and cutting taxes is fraudulent conservatism. Sending soldiers to war and pandering to everyone else with tax cuts is a betrayal of the lowest sort.

Abortion? I feel sorry for sincere pro-lifers tricked into supporting Republicans. Reagan was the most important pro-choice politician in the 20th Century. He understood playing the Abortion Card once a year for political gain. The Republican Party is a pro-choice party. I think the term is "Big Tent."

Republican renewal? How about cutting government and raising taxes to pay down the debt. That is real conservatism. And stop playing the Abortion Card.

It was Pelosi and Reid who claimed the auto manufacturers should come up with a plan for the money. Pelosi said that the car companies needed to show Congress the plan before "They could show them the money."

Further, Detroit isn't the only town with car manufacturers. The South has several car manufacturing companies - mostly foreign, but putting local residents to work.

It was Warren Buffett who gave Goldman Sachs 10 billion dollars. Don't believe they received any "bail-out" money - yet.

Citigroup isn't bailed out yet. It has offices in a 100 countries. The amount they first received was used, but with customers owing it money and demand being made by those who want their deposits in addition to all the financial transactions world-wide, it is a real need to shore up that bank.

GOP: The "Party of NO"

Republicans always claim during campaigns to be all about helping "Joe the plumber". Once the election's over they go right back to serving only the wealthiest one percent. Republicans eagerly bailed out the Citigroup people who took our money then laid off 75,000 'Joe the bank tellers" and "Joann the secretaries". Now the "Joe the auto factory worker" needs a bailout, Republicans are the "party of NO". They openly scoff at the idea of helping union laborers who they claim are overpaid. The current Republican administration gave Goldman Sachs $10 billion, then Goldman handed out $6.5 billion in bonuses. But Republicans focused attention on what kind of jet the beggars from Detroit flew to Washington in. Millions of real people who work hard and unlike "Joe the plumber" pay our taxes, are really hurting. What we don't need is for Republicans to block the bailout of these workers merely for the sake of opposing Democrats and further to deny help to workers that largely tend to vote Democratic. What Americans don't need is for Republicans to cause millions of autoworkers to be fired, so the taxpayers support them with unemployment, welfare and more. At least if they have jobs, their taxes will help us pay for their lousy bailout.
