5 Lawmakers Who Think Joe Lieberman Should Suffer Consequences
These lawmakers have said that there should be a price to pay for Lieberman’s actions
1. Sen. Tom Carper (Delaware Democrat) - He is an ally of Lieberman but thinks there should be consequences for Lieberman's campaign attacks against Barack Obama. "There need to be consequences, and they cannot be insignificant," he said.
2. Sen. Byron Dorgan (North Dakota Democrat) - "Everybody is just profoundly disappointed with what Joe did," he said. He also told Fox News that Lieberman's actions during the campaign were not acceptable "as a chairman of one of our significant committees in the Senate."
3. Sen. Patrick Leahy (Vermont Democrat) - On Vermont Public Radio, Leahy said, "I'm one who does not feel that somebody should be rewarded with a major chairmanship after doing what he did."
4. Sen. Bernie Sanders (Vermont independent) - "To reward Senator Lieberman with a major committee chairmanship would be a slap in the face of millions of Americans who have worked tirelessly for Barack Obama and who want to see real change in our country," he said in a statement.
5. Sen. Harry Reid (Nevada Democrat) - After a meeting between Lieberman and Reid on November 6, a Reid aide said that the majority leader was leaning toward removing Lieberman as chairman. Reid said, "While I understand that Senator Lieberman has voted with Democrats a majority of the time, his comments and actions have raised serious concerns among many in our caucus."

I voted for Gore, Lieberman. It now seems clear to me that having Joe Lieberman as vice p. would have been a mistake.

To keep him in the Democratic Caucus shows that the democrats will take anything. It shows a lack of discipline and high principles. I am sure Mr. Lieberman feels that he is a much stronger person than all the democrats who voted to keep him on their side. Let him go, he has betrayed the democrats. Don't settle for this kind of behavior. He is just laughing in your faces. Stand up and be strong.

I guess nothing has changed, and a "Vote for Sale" dirty dealing senator gets to do the dirty deed and still keep his chairmanship. He gives senate a bad name, and his personal integrity has been in question for many many years. Now the question is which type of people keep electing this character? And what type of people have we elected to the senate who do not reward good deed, and sell out all principals for the sake of politics. We are all extremely angry!
