It is interesting to me how Obama is considered African American while in fact he is just as white as he is African American. More to the fact he stated he was raised by his white grandparents.Having had limited contact with the African side of his family while growing up would seem to make him an "Uncle Tom" (African American term for blacks relating more to whites than blacks). Seems if your successful mixed marriage person your African American and the other part of your heritage disappears but if your just the guy next door your not black or white or accepted by either readily.
It even brought a tear to my eye to see Jessie Jackson cry at his acceptance speech. It seem like just yesterday he was saying he was Aferican American at heart. Guess he had to join the bus or get left out.
To Joe of GA and other God's will Christians
How many of you would deny your child modern medicine or life-saving surgery and leave the fate of your child's health to God's will? I would guess the number to be quite small. Why then are we ignoring the symptoms of our Earth's illness (higher global temperatures, melting glaciers, rising sea levels, etc) and not listening to the experts on the medical attention our Earth needs (lower greenhouse gas emissions). Earth is the one and only home that God created for man and animals and we are allowing corporate greed to destroy it so it may not be there for future generations. There is a place for religion in all of our lives, but we shouldn't ignore the advancements of medicine and science which allow humankind to better itself.

Gretchen Hannes writes three short articles each touching on diffrent aspects of the election. In Election's Over...Palin-drama Continues I think is a good article because it shows that even though the election is over drama is still happenning in the McCain campaign. In Emanuel Accepts is about Rahm Emanuel accepting Obama's invitation to be his chief of staff. Grand Old Party, Key Word Old is about how the youth affected the outcome of this election.
What Happen to America
When we shoved GOD out the door in our decisions that is where we went wrong. Moral values have gone down the drain. It doesn't matter who we send to Washington, It's not going to matter. Whether the majority believe's it or not, GOD is still in control. The liberals can laugh and make fun if they want to, but the end will be awful for them.
Red State leper list
Self-respecting business minded Republicans, you want to be on the Red State leper list. Let the names add up, it will give them less power. Mainstream America wants nothing to do with these right wing religious extremists that would elect Palin president because of her pro-life stance instead of her intellect.
GOP needs to reach young voters
The GOP doesn't have a chance with young voters unless it changes its message and moves away from being the "moral party". Young educated people are exposed to diversity on college campuses. We don't want a party of old, white guys forcing their beliefs down our throats! It's funny that the GOP wants to have less government when it comes to business regulation but yet wants the government to control family values.

The only thing that matters is that you take that hope and move with it and become something great! WE are uniquely created in the image of GOD> Dont let humanistic bad values get in your way. Grab that Hope and make leaps and bounds. Hope Comes from GOD. We all prayed for a change for differant reasons. WE were shown that with One man full of hope. HE could spread that hope that got him to where he is. I am a christian. I feel the same way OBAMA Feels about Life and getting it right in the walk. Its amazing to see everyone unite.

This Was Obama's Time
This was Obama's time. I believe he was placed in this position by God. He is a man of great intellect and charisma. He has 'rocked' the nation and he has inspired voters, both young and old. This election was in the plan of God, or it would have never come to pass.
