Public Opinion: Will the New Round of McCain and Obama Attacks Work?

The two nominees are trading punches and counterpunches. Will they work? Post your thoughts

Posted October 7, 2008

John McCain has launched a new round of attacks on Barack Obama, focusing on his background and attempting to show him to be unqualified for the presidency. Obama's campaign is responding by pointing to McCain's involvement in the "Keating Five" in the mid-1980s. Will these attacks work? Post your thoughts below.

WILL THESE CHARACTER ATTACKS WORK?

They will work to destroy this nation. With the state of the economy right now, the whole nation is stressed. This should be a time to find a solution, and we should be working together to put this nation back together again.

You watch - these attacks will go to a higher level. I predict before the election people will get physically hurt or even killed. I see riots occuring. I see nothing but bad things happening from this.

I see this nation full of people with HATE!!! I can't stand these attacks.

Some info about McCain and his pals and right-wing radicals

I just want to make people aware of who is making many of the distorted and radical charges about Sen. Barack Obama.

I am amazed at how cynical some people can be and how others can take any information offered by a psychopathic maniac as truth. If any of you did a background check on the author of these so called facts you would find that he: "Andy Martin" is a self serving hypocrite, anti-semetic, racist and extremely radical person. If you take note to his journals you'd see that he speaks in third person when referring to himself, which is a clear sign of self loathing and psychopathy. As for Sean Hannity, he has had very close associations with neo-nazi's, racists and anti semites, but you people are proud of them? Well if you are racist, anti-semetic or neo-nazi then I guess so! There is nothing wrong with being passionate about your candidate, but to use lies, smear and baseless attacks against your opposition is dead wrong and dangerous because it causes We the people to become divisive and hateful. Please folks, don't be lapdogs. Do thorough and evaluative research on your own even if you gain insight that is of disappointment of in contradiction to what you are originally led to believe. The truth is what keeps us free. Lies and deceit keep is bound up and in cuffs.

As for Sen. John McCain there has been little to no mention of the following and the right is calling the media biased.

John McCain is a US veteran with distinctions he received as a result of being a POW. Some of his actions while in the POW camp are questionable and he refuses to release documents from 600 of his fellow POW's. John McCain received a D, again I say a "D" from the veterans of Iraq and Afghanistan for either not voting for or voting against benefits and the new GI bill. He was part of Keating 5 and was on the board of a radical nazi linked organization involved in Iran/contra that sold weapons to Iran to support the contra guerrilla forces in South America. Retired U.S. General John Singlaub of: "The U.S. Council for World Freedom invited McCain to the organization and they used his name along with notable right -wingers like Oliver North who also trafficked drugs into the United States and did deals with the likes of Ricky"Freeway" Ross, John Poindexter, Carlos Cabezas, Julio Zavala and others to fund their private arms deals. There is nothing clean or honorable about people who feel that it isn't harmful to destroy our inner cities and suburbs to prop up radicals in other countries during this period in the early to mid 1980's. If you take notice one of the biggest drugs to import into the country today is heroin and there's no coincidence that it is the biggest source of financing the radicals in Afghanistan today. I urge you not to believe me but to do some research on your own. I know people's passions lead them to believe just about anything they get from one source but we are all independent of those who want to lead us.

US Presidential Choice

Hi, I watched McCain and Obama speaking together on the debate on CNN two days back. McCain appears to be very articulate and speaks what he knows and want to do. I think he is very seasoned and at this critical hour probably will be able to handle economic and political affairs in a much better way. Compared to him Obama appears to be a novice and less efficient.
