I believe John McCain picked Sarah Palin as VP candidate to capture the Jerry Springer and reality TV crowds which are not traditionally Republican constituents.

We need a President (and VP) who can think, analyze, and make reasoned decisions. Not a President that runs back and forth to Washington posturing and is totally ineffective and will cause more damage. Sarah Palin said it herself...she didn't even "blink an eye" when accepting to be McCain's running mate. Well, maybe most of the rest of us would have put serious though into what such a position entails. Please, vote for Barack Obama or I fear the worst!

Years ago, when I was coaching freshman basketball in high school, we used to have a self-deprecating saying: "We may be small, but we're slow." Well, Sarah Palin may be nasty, but she's dense. I still cannot believe that any reasonably intelligent person could even consider voting for her. What does her choice as VP candidate say about our entire political process, much less the cynicism of the entire McCain campaign???
