McCain's smug fake smile as he lies to America!!!

I am so sick of seeing that old fart on TV with his smug smile and lies!!!! Everytime I hear his lisp and see his fake smile as he lies to the American people I could just throw up!! He is one of the rich, rich people who have robbed we people who work every day to feed out kids and he cannot even look at us and tell us the American people how many homes he has, as a lot of us lose our only home how very SAD that is and he wants us to allow him and his cronnies to continue to rob the working people and add to his wealth and others like him. Please I cannot even watch TV when he is on it makes me sick to my stomach, him and his fake wife with her fake smile also makes me sick. I hope people can see thru them and elect Obama so we have someone to help us.

McCain still fighting Viet Nam

McCain is still fighting the Viet Nam war. We added thousands of troops. We bombed Cambodia. We put in thousands more troops. Why? Because people like McCain thought the way to win was more firepower, more troops. It failed in Viet Nam, it's failing in Iraq, but McCain is still pushing the old broken theory. His philosophy? Good men and women died, so more should, too. We lost Viet Nam exactly by trying too hard, and McCain is still back in the 70s trying to fight the Viet Nam war the same way we lost it. But it's over, John. Some of us learned our lesson: you can't bomb your way into democracy. You can't shoot your way into Democracy. You can't dictate or bribe your way into democracy. He is stuck in the 60's mentality of building puppet dictatorships. Doesn't work. Never will.

i thought this blog was about supporting obama, not pointing fingers at mccain. get your ideas together and work on making our counrty better by giving your thoughts on what we need to do to live better. dont just point out the bad and do nothing with it.

Can Anyone tell the truth anymore!!!!!!!!!

People...

If you want to be lied to and have our lives put in serious jeopardy...than vote for Mccain...

If you don't care about our childrens future ..

Than blindly choose Mccain...

WAKE UP PEOPLE OF AMERICA!!!

You may not like Obamam but he can save us from this mess...

John Mccain jusst brings more messes and lies to the table...

Stop listening to these lies the republicans keep saying...

Give the democrats a chance to fix things for a while...

PLease vote for Obama

blackberry bs

i heard the quote that the blackberry headline is based on and I am sad to see this appear as a headline with the bogus claim "he said McCain "invented' the blackberry" such empty, attention seeking headlines should NOT be published the USN&WR. Take some real responsability and filter out this trash "news". You reputation is more important than some cheap "news" flash. this is BS, don't waste the time on this no news news.

I Understand Obamas Economics

It seems to me that anyone who doesn't understand Obamas policies hasn't been paying attention. This is one of the smartest men we have had on the ticket for a long time! I can remember when they put Bill Clinton down to, when he left office we had a surplus and millions of new jobs. Don't be so

predjudice that we get the same four years to go along with the past eight. This is a God Fearing man who knows what he is doing. This Country can't stand anymore of Bushes big goverment!!! He has morgtaged our country to China and anyone else who wants it!!!

Moderate Republican

As a moderate to conservative Republican, I definitely agree that financial deregulation, especially since Gramm-Leach-Bliley in 1999, can lead to excesses. It can create a level of risk that a small number are willing to make but the consequences of their decisions can be felt by those who would rather not take such risks. We definitely need to put more financial controls and safeguards so that the "rules of the game" are more clear and that there is more accountability - putting some of the Great Depression era Glass-Steagall Act is probably appropriate. However, Obama and all the other liberals are obsessing over deregulation's downsides while forgetting the innovation and competition it has brought to many other sectors since the 1980s. There's a reason why we had slowed productivity growth and high unemployment and inflation in the 1970s under the heavy government intervention into the economy at that time. We need to strike a balance between protecting people and allowing the market's magic to flourish - and we need someone willing to compromise to be president. John McCain has a history of fitting this profile as he has gotten a lot of heat from his OWN party many times in supporting campaign finance reform, anti-torture, and the environment. I'd like to see the most extreme liberal Senator vote against his party on a controversial issue for once - and also reject Alinsky, Ayers, and Wright with full force as each of them truly hate America and like to see it fail.

$300,000 Outfit, just like yours

Stop picking on John McCain, he made his money the old fashion way, he married it. Yes he was married to another women first, then started to date his current wife while he was still married.

7 or 8 houses, "you are rich if you have 5 million dollars" and your wife can wear an outfit worth $300,000 to the convention - this is a man that has so much in common with everyday regular Americans.

But he will wave the flag, say "God" over and over again and will convince people who have nothing in common with him to vote for him. Please someone buy my brige to nowhere.

economy

How can anyone expect John Mccain to know anything about the economy. This man has so many homes he doesn't quit know how many, he pay's his servants, for a year more money than any of us will earn in a life time, so no wonder the economy is fundamentailly sound to him. It is to him.

What the 2009 Elections Tell Us About 2010

By Tom Davis

Seven lessons the parties need to learn from Tuesday's races.

The 2009 off-year elections in Virginia, New Jersey, and New York's 23d Congressional District offer a small snapshot of the current views and motivations of the American electorate. While there may be a desire to extrapolate the events of Nov. 3, 2009 into a prediction of what will happen on Nov. 2, 2010, that is impossible.
