Sarah's ability to lie with such a straight face and with pleasure

I used to like this lady. She calls herself a Christian and lies with such gusto. She actually enjoys it. I realize that supposedly everything is fair in politics, but this negativity turns my stomach. Surely, she must realize she going to hell.

McCain/Palin - leading to destruction

Sarah Palin may seem to have the energy at the rallies and she may be an extrovert person. But that doesn't make her suitable to hold the position that requires someone who really knows and understands the issues at hand. Republicans seem to ignore the historical facts, the blunders made by Reagan that have crippled USA and increased its dependence on foreign oil.they reject the notion of promoting cleaner, alternative energy sources so USA can become self sufficient. Instead of focusing on the terrorism, they shifted their self-contained interests, to fill their pockets with gold, to nations just in the oil-quest and let the terror increase. Every sensible citizen should understand this, and read up the history and then decide. Palin/McCain don't have any plans for falling economy. Just by saying Americans are strong doesn't give you the credit if you don't provide any solutions. McCain's "My friends" doesn't make anyone his friend. It is just a cheap gimmick and knowing they are lacking and lack the judgment for doing good, Sarah Palin and McCain are now resorting to cheap politics, trying to divert the Americans from the actual issues at hand for which they don't want to provide any solution.

Facts About the People causing what lead up to Bailout

Subject: Do Facts Matter?

Do Facts Matter? Recriminations.

By Thomas Sowell

Abraham Lincoln said, "You can fool all the people some of the time and some of the people all the time, but you can't fool all the people all the time."

Unfortunately, the future of this country, as well as the fate of the Western world, depends on how many people can be fooled on Election Day, just a few weeks from now.

Right now, the polls indicate that a whole lot of the people are being fooled a whole lot of the time.

The current financial bailout crisis has propelled Barack Obama back into a substantial lead over John McCain - which is astonishing in view of which man and which party has had the most to do with bringing on this crisis.

It raises the question: Do facts matter? Or is Obama's rhetoric and the media's spin enough to make facts irrelevant?

Fact Number One: It was liberal Democrats, led by Sen. Christopher Dodd and Congressman Barney Frank, who for years - including the present year - denied that Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac were taking big risks that could lead to a financial crisis.

It was Sen. Dodd, Congressman Frank, and other liberal Democrats who for years refused requests from the Bush administration to set up an agency to regulate Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac.

It was liberal Democrats, again led by Dodd and Frank, who for years pushed for Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac to go even further in promoting subprime mortgage loans, which are at the heart of today's financial crisis.

Alan Greenspan warned them four years ago. So did the chairman of the Council of Economic Advisers to the president. So did Bush's secretary of the Treasury, five years ago.

Yet, today, what are we hearing? That it was the Bush administration "right-wing ideology" of "de-regulation" that set the stage for the financial crisis. Do facts matter?

We also hear that it is the free market that is to blame. But the facts show that it was the government that pressured financial institutions in general to lend to subprime borrowers, with such things as the Community Reinvestment Act and, later, threats of legal action by then Attorney General Janet Reno if the feds did not like the statistics on who was getting loans and who wasn't.

Is that the free market? Or do facts not matter?

Then there is the question of being against the "greed" of CEOs and for "the people." Franklin Raines made $90 million while he was head of Fannie Mae and mismanaging that institution into crisis.

Who in Congress defended Franklin Raines? Liberal Democrats, including Maxine Waters and the Congressional Black Caucus, at least one of whom referred to the "lynching" of Raines, as if it was racist to hold him to the same standard as white CEOs.

Even after he was deposed as head of Fannie Mae, Franklin Raines was consulted this year by the Obama campaign for his advice on housing!

The Washington Post criticized the McCain campaign for calling Raines an adviser to Obama, even though that fact was reported in the Washington Post itself on July 16th. The technicality and the spin here is that Raines is not officially listed as an adviser. But someone who advises is an adviser, whether or not his name appears on a letterhead.

The tie between Barack Obama and Franklin Raines is not all one-way. Obama has been the second-largest recipient of Fannie Mae's financial contributions, right after Sen. Christopher Dodd.

But ties between Obama and Raines? Not if you read the mainstream media.

Facts don't matter much politically if they are not reported.

The media alone are not alone in keeping the facts from the public. Republicans, for reasons unknown, don't seem to know what it is to counterattack. They deserve to lose.

But the country does not deserve to be put in the hands of a glib and cocky know-it-all, who has accomplished absolutely nothing beyond the advancement of his own career with rhetoric, and who has for years allied himself with a succession of people who have openly expressed their hatred of America.

Sarah Palins Love Affair with Husband's Business Partner

Has anyone found anything further on Sarah Palin's cheating affair on the First Dude's business partner? I'd like to learn more about it. It has hit some news magazines but has not hit mainstream news as of today?

Thanks

Sarah Palin and trophy caribou

Has anybody wondered about the glamor of shooting a caribou. They are a herding animal; the Lapps keep them for milk, meat and skins. Shooting a caribou is the equivalent of going out and shooting a cow. There is no risk to the shooter. Has anybody been gored by a wounded caribou. There are big game animals in Alaska; American sportsmen shoot them from airplanes all the time.

No hazard no glory.

Palin

palin is assembly of god church, women are subservient there.

great choice for mccain, another do nothing republican.

!

Many of us women have plugged through the Hockey Mom years, stood up for what we believed, even though no one listened, were whistled at because we wore a skirt, but were passed over for promotions also because we wore a skirt, (before Hillary's pantsuits were in fashion). Being an independent, I've voted for the "best man" whichever party he belonged to. So, don't think I'm not pleased and proud to see a woman up there representing all of us women, whatever our age. The media is asking for privacy for the Palin family whose sexually active 17 year old daughter is pregnant because her mother doesn't believe in sex education. But, the way Ms. Palin has paraded her brood in front of the cameras every moment at every event is disgusting. I believe she's using her children to get votes based upon the dilusion of what a great "family" mom she is. I've been watching her for a week now, and I've seen her hold her 4 month old baby once, last night for about 30 seconds when her family joined her on stage after her VP speech. Otherwise, it's been Bristol or Willow with that baby plastered to their chest while "Mom" prances around the stage in her high heels. Why not leave your baby with a nanny or another relative out of the spotlight? And why would Bristol and her self-proclaimed (explitive) redneck boyfriend need to be at the convention? If they want privacy, stay home! I can't wait to see Sarah questioned by media and mediators in the debates who will pummel her with questions about the economy, health care and all of the other topics that she conveniently skirted during her coming out party speech. If this is the judgement that John McCain will be bringing to the white house, God help us. Please don't drag all of us down the "Bridge to Nowhere" with you. Thanks, but NO Thanks!

McCain, please do NOT insult women voters

Does Republican Party run out of any qualified VP candidates? How on earth did McCain select this Palin woman to fool us women voters? Sarah Palin knows only to attack her opponent in a chatting style; she provided no substance on any of the campaign issue - poor economic, gas prices problem, energy crisis, the housing market trouble, medical insurance reform, care of our veterans and our troops in the war, when is our troop coming home, how to reinstate US status in the global community? The list goes on and on, yet all Palin cares is to attack Obama who the least lay out the plan that matters to my daily lives!

Sarah Palin = DISAPPOINTMENT!!!!!

Some sobering thought for both sides in the Sarah Palin frenzy.

Some sobering thought for both sides in the Sarah Palin frenzy.

I never heard of her before Friday’s announcement. I immediately googled her and found some fascinating material. Keep in mind this was before all the new pages appeared so all the articles were on what see had actually done. OMG!

Everyone seems assured Biden will destroy her in the VP debate.

Newsflash, 2 years ago she debated the sitting GOP Governor, who also happened to have spent over 20 years in the US Senate, and killed him and won the election in a landslide.

Every seems assured she wont hold up without a teleprompter.

Watch this video interview with Newsweek on female governors last march.

There seems to have been a 2 year old grassroots effort to get her to VP, first for Rudy, and only later for Jonnie. Look for the older stuff on this site; front page is RA RA for her now.

http://www.palinforvp.com/

Was she behind this? Is this part of HER overall plan?

Newsflash for the GOP bigwigs that think they can use her to stay in power and forget about her, that’s what all the Alaskan GOP bigwigs thought to, they don’t have jobs now. She is so hated by the old time GOP powers that her name is not mentioned on the GOP’s state website.

“In the roughly three years since she quit as the state's chief regulator of the oil industry, Palin has crushed the Republican hierarchy (virtually all male) and nearly every other foe or critic. Political analysts in Alaska refer to the "body count" of Palin's rivals. "The landscape is littered with the bodies of those who crossed Sarah," says pollster Dave Dittman, who worked for her gubernatorial campaign. It includes Ruedrich, Renkes, Murkowski, gubernatorial contenders John Binkley and Andrew Halcro, the three big oil companies in Alaska, and a section of the Daily News called "Voice of the Times," which was highly critical of Palin and is now defunct.“
