The time of "good" relations with Russia is over
They have clearly signaled their hostility and their intent to return to their historical imperial ways. That's no surprise with a an old KGB veteran like Putin in charge (yes, I know he's technically only the PM now but he's still clearly the #1 guy). We better fix our space capability problem now because to depend on the Russians for manned access to space from the time the Space Shuttle is supposed to be retired until the new launch vehicle is ready would be extraordinarily foolish. I can't believe anyone ever thought that was a good idea.

Yes, for sure, it is a new cold war, and we had better take it vary seriously, and be ready for anything !
