The Olympic Games officially open today in China, a country with a deplorable human rights record. Critics have suggested that the United States should have boycotted the opening ceremonies, but President Bush has said that skipping the ceremonies would be an "affront" to the Chinese people and make it harder to speak frankly with their leadership. Now the Olympics has ended and I wanna know what do you think of it now?! Being A Chinese myself ,I feel totally furious ,shocked and hurt when I saw this opinion! You have no idea how much efforts Chinese people have made to host this game and how sincerely we want people all around the world to join us ! What will you feel when you open your heart to to welcome someone to your world and show your love for him and only to find that he doesn't even believe you and see you in an totally hostile way?!
Please don't judge when you have no idea about China and if you do, it just shows how ignorant you are!

I am a Chinese.I have read all the comments.I want to tell you,Chinese Government is not like the media described.A part of news from media (include ours and yours)were not true. As a Chinese,I saw more truth which happened in My Country.And I had read many news from different medias which obviously misleaded their readers.It is strange that more news I talking about are likely disgusted with China.In fact,we are friendly nation.Our leaders is elect by our representation(who is elect by ourselves).Perhaps we are not the most democratic country,but our government is try their best to improve it.As a Chinese,I am satisfactry with our Government.Chinese people are all proud of our nation.

Over a million homeless.
Racism +++.
Poverty +++.
More than 1 million Iraqis killed including innocent women and children.
Wanton military slaughters in Iraq with no objective
Guantanamo Bay.
Nations leaders (Dems and Pubs alike) engaged in nefarious sex acts possibly human trafficking.
Infringement of human rights by police (google taser deaths).
Women and children sexually victimized.
Complete lawlessness of the Bush regime.
Why boycott? Are we really that stupid?
