Sen. John McCain says in a new television ad that "we're worse off than we were four years ago." Vice President Dick Cheney might not appear at the GOP convention in Minneapolis. Both seem to be signs that McCain is trying to create political separation between himself and the Bush-Cheney administration, to which Sen. Barack Obama is trying to tie him closely.
