John McCain and Barack Obama have each reportedly narrowed their vice presidential short lists to three possible running mates. McCain is closely eyeing former Massachusetts Gov. Mitt Romney, former U.S. Rep. Rob Portman of Ohio, and Minnesota Gov. Tim Pawlenty. Obama is looking at Virginia Gov. Tim Kaine, Indiana Sen. Evan Bayh, and Delaware Sen. Joe Biden.
